We ate at the hotel restaurant. The bed was comfortable. The room was a nice size and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We valet parked our car and it was taken good care of. We would stay at the Wyndham again.

Liked: We had a nice experience at the hotel.

It's a very old hotel but it is in a fantastic location for Manhattan. The price is exceptional for a NYC hotel and it is a clean, safe place to stay. Rooms were a little small but wouldn't stop me from staying again. Friendly staff.

Liked: Great location; nice price and clean.
Disliked: Small rooms.

Not a city view room...

Liked: Location is good, rooms are ok
Disliked: Extra charge for each piece of luggage even if kept for 2h, asking to show the room key on each time entering the hotel- just install the scanner in the elevators!! Room with the city view doesn?t mean the view on Empire State but totally other side. Very poor recommendation from the concierge service- when asked for restaurant they offered only the next door dinner or MCDonald!!

Perfect location

Liked: Perfect location to explore NYC. I travelled with my 23 month old. Room was small but perfect as a base. I thought it was good value as do centrally located. Very easy to explore on the subway. Nice having a proper bath. Staff brought me a cofffee maker so I could make my daughter warm milk. My daughter was sick all over the bed and the lovely cleaner (from Yugoslavia, wish I had her name) changed all the sheets with no fuss. I felt so bad!

Passable

Liked: Location wise is great. Walking distance to The Vessel, 5th Avenue, Madison Square, Times Square. There are many food outlet nearby the hotel as well.
Disliked: The queen size bed is smaller than the typical queen bed. The room cleaning service don't really clean the toilet. Asked for kettle and they said they didn't have it. Instead, they provide Coffee Machine that can boil less than a cup of water. One of the staff told me it is chargeable at USD 25 per night and another told me is USD 45 per night. The other offered me for free and couldn't boil. Asked again (another staff) for kettle and poof! They have it. Guess they judge you?

Was a great trip to...

Liked: We stayed here for 6 days. We got cut short 3 days by our choice due to Coronavirus shutting everything down . Perfect location, restaurants/stores right across the street. The Onsight TikTok restaurant had coffee first thing in the morning in the lobby at a kiosk for a fee. CVS right across the street for convenience. McDonalds, Taco Bell etc. across the street. Times square and Broadway are just a short 15 minute walk away. Subway/Penn station/Madison Square Garden literally right out the front door. Battery park for Lady Liberty was only 1 subway ride away to South Ferry. Housekeeping was wonderful in cleaning the room thoroughly, (we even tried to get them to NOT clean the room the one day that we were staying in but, they refused lol.) Clean, Pure white, brisk sheets were great! Bed was comfortable. Views from the 33rd floor were awesome. You will not get to the elevator area without showing your room key! Loved the safety. NOTE: From JFK- Take the Air train to Jamaica, you will have to pay to exit. This is where you get your train/subway tickets. For About $8 take the faster LIRR (Long Island railroad) to Penn Station or take the cheaper Subway for $2.75. About 65$ for Uber to JFK airport from here. (great and convenient for a group of 3-4)
Disliked: Room was a little dated and small but, clean and big enough for 2, not a big deal. Windows were dirty and hard to see out of. No free coffee, No coffee maker or anything in room without an extra charge. The bottles of warm water in your room are $5+ if you drink them. Go across the street to CVS and get Cold ones for half the price. Half of the elevators were working.

I had an amazing time...

Liked: The view from the hotel room was amazing!
Disliked: The room was very small, it didn?t have a microwave or a fridge. The pillows were fluffy but they were tiny, seemed as if they were supposed to be throw pillows instead of actually bed pillows.
