The New Southlands Hotel

Not so quiet break.

Liked: Location, room clean except for windows. Badly needed replacement. Staff polite and efficient. Food plain but well prepared and enjoyable.
Disliked: Noisy people in adjacent room with swearing and shouting until late. Lots of noise from water pipes and creaking floors. Fan not working in bathroom.

Decent budget hotel

Liked: The location of the hotel is excellent being within walking distance of the town centre, all the staff were lovely and very informative, polite and friendly.The beds are very comfortable and spacious. The drinks prices in the bar were surprisingly good, we expected higher prices considering the size and location.
Disliked: We were in room 209 and the floor in the bathroom creaked whenever you went in, the water wasn't particularly hot, lukewarm at best, we could hear other guests through the walls and the kettle is directly under the TV which made us a bit weary of using it.
