The Music Fable Hotel

Liked: There was nothing to like about the hotel - it is a total con.
Disliked: This so called 5* hotel is an absolute con job - we struggled to find it because it fronts onto a very busy dual carriage highway with no where to park. We had to park about 200metres away and then walked back past the front door several times as we could not find a hotel. We were finally met on the footpath by a person called Tim who ushered us into a very small dimly lit front room with no other staff or customers present. The building looked like a 2* guest house at best - certainly a long way from being a 600 pound per night 5 star hotel.Where we parked our car, we'd been advised by a local business owner that we had been conned and that the owner of Music Fable in fact owed him money for work he had performed. We politely told Tim that we felt extremely uncomfortable and could not possibly stay and that we would require a full refund as unfortunately I had paid the full amount in advance through Booking.com.Tim advised us that the refund had to be done through Booking.com so for the past month I have been in regular contact with Booking.com and Tim has been refusing to return our money.I have never been a person to negatively review on social platforms, however I am so concerned that other unfortunate people will be caught up in this dishonest scam. I strongly advise you not to believe any of the good reviews on his website as they are probably not legitimate.
