The Mornington Camden Female only Hostel

Superb

Liked: The localisation is the biggest advantage. There is an underground and bus station right next to the hostel and a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. Beds are clean, they provide a towel.

A great stay.

Liked: It was a nice bed, nice bathrooms, it felt nice and safe - which some hostels just don’t. It was easy to get to and they send all the information about check in and everything before arriving. It was an overall great experience.
Disliked: If you can’t sleep because of sounds - a hostels is a no go. And this one is close to an Underground location, but for me it was fine. But maybe not for everyone. It sounded like thunder.

Liked: The only good thing is the location. The beds are comfortable too. It is suitable for 2 nights or so.
Disliked: It is good value for money, but be prepared for it's downside. Firstly I was surprised that men could enter the hostel building, while it was noted as a female only hostel. This can conflict you if you chose the place for safety. ( it is not entirely true) The room (3)and the cupboard had a lot of female clothes that did not belong to any of the current visitors, and there was a lot of clutter! ( which was worrying/ the staff tried to solve this ) While the place is newly renovated, there is no daily cleaning, so all common areas and bathrooms are poorly maintained and have poor ventilation.There is no real kitchen, only a small fridge, a microwave, and a kettle. There is no tap, water source, or cutlery. Definitely only suitable for one or 2 nights

Delighted with how clean it...

Liked: It was clean and right next to a central enough tube station. There were lots of overflow toiletries which was great as I forgot something.
Disliked: My bed had a dip in it. I mentioned this to the staff, there was nothing done about it. My back was in pain for days after the sleeping in the bed.The room in the basement had a double door which was left open at night, anyone could enter the room via the communal area upstairs. After entering the communal area at around 11pm I sat down on the sofa, the double doors were left wide open and a fox decided to walk in. I dread to think what would happen if the fox walked into the bedroom.Someone had already decided my designated bed was theirs, this possibly could have been avoided if it were properly explained at check in. There was a sign but it could be easily missed.

Liked: Great location, self-check-in went smoothly, dorm room was spacious enough for everyone, room was cool and well ventilated
Disliked: Just two bathrooms for 10 people can be an issue.

Liked: awesome location, good price
Disliked: it could ba a bit more clean, a bit less spiderwebs would be appreciated

Convenient and cheap option

Liked: I liked the location and how convenient it was
Disliked: It wasn’t the cleanest (the bathroom and the pillow case were not the best)
