Just OK, nothing special

Liked: The food was very good and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The bed was large and comfortable.
Disliked: I wouldn’t rate this hotel as 4 star/luxury. Our bathroom was very shabby with damp in places and cracked tiles. The windows really need replacing, they don’t seal properly and you can clearly hear the M6. We wanted to use the EV charging in the carpark but it was ridiculously expensive (not sure if they are owned by the hotel but would be good to have reasonably priced EV charging available to guests) Lots of items for the cooked breakfast weren’t stocked fast enough and service was quite slow at dinner. Some of the crockery was also dirty. Overall we weren’t that impressed but for an overnight stop near the motorway it was fine.

Disliked: After eating an evening meal all of us were incredibly thirsty through the night, suggesting the food was over-salted

Idyllic stay in Staffordshire

Liked: Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked and abundant. Ample car parking complemented the property. The hotel itself and its grounds were beautiful.
