would definitely recommend and stay...

Liked: Comfortable room, pleasant staff, very good food in restaurant for both dinner and breakfast (didn't try the bar food). Convenient location for M6 with little noise, nice grounds beside canal with narrowboats.
Disliked: Our room was decorated in dark grey - we were told it is due for re-decoration.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful...

Liked: Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings. The staff were fabulous, very welcoming and helpful. We are in the lounge bar and it was delicious, with plenty of choice. Breakfast was also plentiful and service overall was great. Would highly recommend this hotel and wish we had more than one night to enjoy it!
Disliked: You can hear the motorway from outside but this did not spoil our experience at all.

A bit hit and miss

Liked: Lovely room, spacious and clean. The food was amazing. It was quiet at night and restful.
Disliked: The hotel cut corners here and there. There was wine on the wine list selling at £26 that I'm sure I could purchase the exact same brand from Sainsbury's for a tenner. Can't such a posh looking establishment source its wine from an independent merchant? The orange juice tasted cheap. The staff although helpful, didn't have that sparkle of people who genuinely enjoy their job and you get the impression that this hotel might not be a great place to work.
