Very relaxing stay.

Liked: The staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, and very comfortable, with a lovely view. It was nice and quiet. The breakfast choices and standard of food was first class. As was the Al a Cart menu in the dining room.
Disliked: The choice of food on the bar menu was quite limited. Still very good quality.

Liked: Welcome at reception a little underwhelming but ok. Lovely large clean room. Had booked an evening meal for family that we hadn’t seen for a while. Had booked for 7.30pm . At 8.30 still no one had taken our order. When food arrived further problems. One of the party had sea bass which was more like a starter, two of us had the pie. Pastry was so hard I couldn’t cut it. One of the waiting staff came over and asked if there was a problem, she was very apologetic and offered to replace it. Second pie came out but the pastry was still not great. (The lady who dealt with us was very professional and kind but whoever was doing the cooking could have done with some improvement. Breakfast staff and food - lovely. We probably wouldn’t return based on the restaurant experience sadly as the hotel really is in a lovely location
