It was fine and we enjoyed the food and the comfort of the bed.

Liked: It was clean, the food was good and the staff were friendly.
Disliked: Its more a motel than hotel with chalets rather than rooms and only one chair and a stool. But it was ok, but not a place I would normally stay. Breakfast over by 9am so more commercial than leisure.

Very good

Liked: A lovely reception area and shop. The staff so welcoming, friendly and helpful.Plenty of parking and well set out accommodation. The rooms were clean, a comfortable bed plus tv and hot drinks provided. The bathroom was adequate and had lovely thick towels .Menus provided for dinner and breakfast plus information about The Mill Forge's history. Plenty of outdoor space and areas of interest. As it provides marriage facilities, there is a chapel in a lovely setting for photographs. There is a bar and dining area providing lunches and evening meals. Again the, staff very friendly and efficient.
Disliked: The breakfast was disappointing. The staff were excellent, friendly, polite, and efficient .However, the water for tea was in a flask as was the coffee. This meant the tea was not boiling hot and neither was the coffee. No fresh fruit or yogurts.Adequate cooked breakfasts.

Liked: Loved the room, very comfy, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely, we had cooked breakfast, great. Dinner was OK but not great. Staff were lovely and happy to help.
Disliked: Families who allow their children to run about (bar area) the lady behind the bar tried asking them to stop!! Brave lady!!!

It failed to live up to the hype

Liked: Location was suitable for my needsThe food in the bar and at breakfast was great.
Disliked: Tv didnt work ( no signal)Wi-Fi didnt work or was intermittentNo curtains , only a roller blind that kept no light out. I end up hanging the bed throw over the blind! The room was icy cold on arrival. Every reading or off. I had to turn everyone on and go sit in the bar until the room became habitable.Mold around the bathroom extraction. Not a pleasant sight. A lot of noise from the adjacent room. Assume the walls are not very well insulated!10am check out is a bit early if you are travelling for holidays..
