Comfortable budget hotel which is very handy for Old Fruitmarket and City Hall. Would certainly use it again.
Liked: Room was exactly as advertised and, in spite of city centre location, double glazing meant it was quiet.

Lovely listed building; no frills room but lived up to expectations. Would be more than happy to book again.
Liked: Clean, comfortable, friendly.
Disliked: Room very gloomy; one bulb out and others very dull.

Lovely wee hotel with very friendly staff and great breakfast! Nice clean rooms and very sufficient for our one night stay to go to Barrowlands.
Liked: Very nice wee hotel.

Terrible
Disliked: Hotel is an absolute joke. Do NOT recommend. Charged us for two nights because we didn?t leave at the check out time when we weren?t informed of the checkout time in the first place!! Hallway was stinking to the point I had to hold my breath walking through it. No heating throughout the building as it wasn?t working so was offered a blanket! I could literally see my breath it was that cold. Dirty stains on towels. Will never EVER be back. All round horrible. Worst hotel I have ever been in.

Awful
Liked: Our stay was so bad that we left 4 hours after arriving as the room was absolutely freezing and were assured twice that the heating was on. When spoke to reception staff again we were told ?we were acting like we paid £200 for the room rather than £46.75? which indicated to us that if we had we may have had not only the privilege but of hearing but better customer service. We decided our stay had been ruined as when checked temp in room our digital thermostat showed 3celsius and we were sitting in coats and under the duvet which was not how we planned our night. On departing I asked for either a contact number or email address to lodge a complaint to a manager and this was refused and told they don?t have a manager. I then said anyone senior and again told no I?m not giving you any details. Following this I said I would be making sure I detailed my stay in a review and the response was ?you are acting like you are royalty? on this note we decided to wait outside for our taxi to return home. Having our New Year?s Eve time together totally ruined as I am a support worker and worked all through Christmas , Boxing day and thought the week and hadn?t seen my partner much so this was how we decided to spend some times together the two days I had off. We were offered NO refund, and we also had to pay for the taxi home. I was most disappointed in the customer service which was absolutely disgusting to speak to any customer in the way the night reception staff did his insults were personal and warranted Such a shame as the building and location are perfect
Disliked: Everything - see above

Liked: Clean room good location but 2 member of staff were not helpfull atall and made a mistake that double booked?wich I didn?t had proof on email and my online banking and they refused to give me my £100 deposit back..called booking.com and they are dealing with the matter the other booking was made under dffretn email and details?got 4!kids and had to tap money for food and things as that?s what the £100 was for don?t trust the hotel and would not recommend it only gave me and my partner 2 teabags and coffees and a few sugars as we weere the wkend and in asked for extra milk and they said no?

Family City Break in The...
Liked: The Location is right in the heart of the Merchant City in the very centre of Glasgow but is on a quiet side stree. The room was small, but had everything you could need and the shower was the best I've ever had in a hotel. The Price was very reasonable and the proprieter was lovely and made us feel very welcome, despite all the inevitable COVID resrictions.
Disliked: Nothing really. For the price you really couldn't ask for more. If I was being REALLY picky, the 'packed breakfast' was a little disappointing as neither of us like brioche buns with savoury fillings; but's that's just us and it's our only negative which speaks volumes.
