Central but needs some updating...

Liked: Very central, the location is amazing and felt very safe walking around alone. Very comfy beds!
Disliked: Our window was unable to open as the hinge wasn’t able to actually hold it open. Room was very basic but served its purpose. No towels not even a hand towel in the bathroom

Uncomfortable hotel with unsufficient security+no...

Liked: The location (St Pancras). The room looked rather clean.
Disliked: Where to start? No lock on the door, no lock on the window, which poses a major security concern for women travelling alone. Also, the hotel is not manned. This is the kind of hotel running by itself: you get a code to enter the hotel, enter the room, get into the WiFi, but there is no one in the hotel, no reception, just other travellers like you... again not great for security. I wish that would have been made obvious in the hotel description. Don't even think of making use of a potential storage facility: there is just no one to ask! Ended up taking storage at St Pancras station which was reliable and cheapMy room had view on the street. The window had heavy curtains, no light blinds. So no possibility to get day light into the room without being seen from the street. Again, not great for security. The rooms are very noisy. Especially on the ground floor, you can hear anyone entering/exiting the hotel, walking up/down the stairs, walking to their rooms, above you, on the 1st floor. There is no air-conditioning. So good luck in the summer. The list could get longer, but l'll stop with the bloody ceiling lamps: they took forever to go from dimmed to maximum light and there were no lights on the bed side, making it difficult to move in the room at night time with the lights off. A bedside lamp is a rather cheap item though, and fixing it on the bedside table shall not be rocket science...Briefly chatted with other women travellers on my way out. Their experience wasn't better than mine...Conclusion: recommendation to avoid. I've stayed at various budget hotels in London but it's the 1st time I ever felt unsafe in one. I've also never seen before a room door that cannot be locked from inside!!!!

Great location and good value...

Liked: Fantastic location straight across from kings Cross station. Rooms was lovely not too big and staff was very helpful.
Disliked: A little bit sceptical due to reading reviews before our visit . The wallpaper only a little part was hanging off the ceiling in reception and the shower could do with replacing as it looked ready to be replaced.

Good

Liked: Proximity to St Pancras, park across the street and view of trees and sky. Funky decor. Excellent shower and good size room for London
Disliked: Top floor with no lift after initialliy being put on first floor when we got the code! Bed was far too soft - husband is average size and was hitting the base when sitting! Softest bed we've ever slept on!No fan with the heat (29°c in London is warm!) in a small top floor room can be quite uncomfortable. Throw in parties on the park until the early hours of a Monday morning with an open window, and not a lot of sleep is prescribed!

Don’t bother

Liked: Not much. I should have read the reviews.
Disliked: It feels quite sleazy. There are lots of places nearby that are nicer for the same price.

Not recommended.

Liked: There was nothing to like except the location.
Disliked: Not clean, took a long while to check-in, micro room, not even a water bottle was given. It was mentioned the toiletries will be given, shampoo was empty and table in the room was dirty.
