Cheap but needs some work

Liked: The staff were great, it was cheap & the location was great.
Disliked: The room wasn't clean, floor was filthy. 1 bulb out of 6 working in the bathroom, the tap was hanging off the sink in the bathroom. The shutters were broken so it was light in the room from 4.30am. The bed was broken, I was ok against the wall but my partner had a bad time being at the other side. TV didn't work very well, but we were only there to sleep really. I knew we weren't getting luxury as it was cheap, it was a bed in London for 2 nights while we had 3 busy days. But it could have been better. Ive stayed 3 times here, but its been a few years since ive been.

Not good experience at all.

Liked: Location - close to St Pancras, opposite a small park.
Disliked: The information regarding the room in the email was quite different from what was actually provided. The door code sent via email was incorrect. When I attempted to call the provided contact number, there was no answer. After waiting downstairs for 10 minutes, a staff member finally arrived. I was informed that the room was occupied, and I had to be relocated to a different room than the one communicated in the email, which required me to climb to the third floor twice (with no lift available). The room was smaller than the stated 12m², measuring less than 8m²; it lacked air conditioning. The standing fan was broken, necessitating that we prop it against the wall. There was a significant amount of dust behind the bed and under the radiator. The TV had no signal, and several spotlights were non-functional. There were no bedside lamps, and the bed was squeezed between walls, leaving no space for a second person, forcing one of us to climb over. Only one teaspoon and three cups were provided. There was no wardrobe, just a rail, and no space for luggage. Additionally, there was no small fridge.

Poor

Liked: Location was good, close to King's Cross and nice and quiet.
Disliked: The apartment was not as described. Was described as 432sqf, with 1 separate bedroom with double bed, one single bed and another double bed. In fact it's just one space in a cabin in the garden, one double bed and one sofa bed and felt crampt. There was a very strong damp smell in the bathroom, and discoved the shower tray was competly split in 2, and the smell was all the rotting wood/mould beneath the shower.

A disappointing stay in poor...

Liked: The check in was easy with the room code that is text to you on the day, and the proximity to the nearby train stations is excellent. The shower was fairly decent.
Disliked: The room was incredibly hot with no air con. There was no security on the window and it was at basement level with street access so I didn’t want to open the window overnight. The mattress was paper thin and uncomfortable. There was a lot of noise of people moving around in the room above, and regular arguments could be heard close by. All of this led to a very poor night’s sleep.

Bad

Liked: The staff are very good
Disliked: Everything past the reception desk. Room was filthy, mouldy, bad smells, insects in the bed, shower door was hanging on, tap in the sink falling off, limescale on the shower head, toilet seat lose, etc. just a kip.
