A perfect getaway, we will...

Liked: Great location, has free parking, staff are very welcoming. Rooms are very clean and the bed is very comfortable. We stayed when there was an open mic night on which was brilliant, a real community feel.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing

Excellent location and easy parking,...

Liked: The property was easy to access from the car park across the road. The pub does have parking but was hard to find and tight to access, so I parked in the car park across the road. I could literally see my car from my bedroom window. All day parking costs £13. You need to pop across the road at 9am to renew the parking ( it isn’t online so you can’t just do it from your phone!)Whilst it cost us an additional £26, it was worth it not to have any car parking stress! The room itself was basic, but warm and clean.Atmosphere in the pub on the night we stayed was amazing. They had an “ open mic night” and it was really good fun. Big shout out to Dylan who was an absolute star. He helped us out when we had an issue with our lock. He was kind and helpful and really understood customer service. Our small issue was resolved and he handled it brilliantly.Great breakfast the next morning and again excellent customer service from the chap who greeted us and got our breakfast sorted.
Disliked: We had a great time. There is a bit of maintenance that needs doing.Bathroom door had no lock and so flapped open - wasn’t an issue for us but might be for some.

Excellent value for money. Great...

Liked: Was greeted by very friendly staff (Dillon who introduced us to Jo and Daisy) at bar. Explained where room was etc. Although above bar it was quiet, clean and comfortable room. Parking at back. Great view of the Abbey and Tor. Very good breakfast by different friendly staff.

Hotel clean but Disappointed by...

Liked: Good location -clean, comfortable and spacious room - breakfast staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast was well prepared
Disliked: I arrived at the hotel at 11 30 pm after trying to call them all day to say I would arrive late as I was at a memorial in Somerset no one answered the phone all day .. when I got there late that night staff ignored me even though it was 11 30 pm and I was very tired after driving all day from london and across Somerset and instead took their time photographing a shot on the counter that one of them had made for a customer instead eventually they paid attention and checked me in - when I got to my room the window was wide open and freezing cold there was no heating and no blanket for the bed just a thin duvet - there was no way of calling the staff on the phone so I had to go back down to the bar it was nearly midnight - I had to insist someone came up to help me try to put the heat on - but the radiator did not work and no heat came on.. he did not seem interested in providing a solution and the staff said they could not provide me with a blanket either so I then called the manager up and she had to put on the heat at the central heat location downstairs as it had been turned off .. in the morning the heat was off again and would not come on I did not fancy a shower in a cold bathroom with no heater .. was v disappointed by the staffs lack of interest or focus on my visit

Best place to stay in...

Liked: Me and my partner booked to stay here for two nights. We had the best time! The staff couldn’t have done more. They were polite, funny, friendly! The room was clean, tidy, and had an amazing view over the Tor. The breakfast was absolutely sensational, couldn’t fault it! The only issue we did have was with the shower - there was mould around the base which wasn’t appealing at all. Either it needs scrubbing off with some mould remover or it needs replacing. Also, the shower gel and hair wash was in the holder above the sink and the hand wash was in the shower, which really really made me laugh
