Great location, mediocre hotel.

Liked: Fantastic location. Breakfast was mostly good. Bed was very comfortable and had nightstands on both sides which is always a plus.
Disliked: Our room was in the basement, at the very front of the property, so our view was a brick wall with everyone walking past on the street above able to see into our room whenever the curtains were open. Also, the room was right next to an exterior storage area used by housekeeping so lots of noise from staff banging doors, rattling trolleys around and talking (loudly) to each other starting at about 8am every morning. Not very good for a room that was supposed to be a "Club" level. Breakfast was very nice apart from one morning when we had to send the coffee back because it was cold. Expected better from a $400CAD a night hotel.

Liked: Great location, staff were welcoming and were able to hold our bags before and after check-in so we could go out exploring. Bed was comfy.
Disliked: The fridge in the room didn't work and neither did the USB charge. It was really hot in London and the basement room we had was incredibly hot. The room was really tiny and it was a little bit difficult to navigate around the bed as the furniture was so close to it.

Liked: Great location for Hyde park which is what we went to London for. Staff were friendly and bed was comfy. Like the digital controls for putting on do not disturb outside your room.
Disliked: Walls are paper thin, could hear conversations and people coughing in the rooms next to us all night. Shower set up is impractical due to how the door folds in. My partner turned the shower on and was scolded due to how hot it was but couldn’t get to the control to change temp or turn it off without getting further burnt by the shower because the shower screens blocks the controls when open. Bathroom floor also gets soaked when showers in use.

Great location and gluten free...

Liked: Location was perfect for BST Hyde Park.Chef made me a fresh gluten free breakfast so I did not have to eat off the buffet, which was much appreciated and tasty.
Disliked: The housekeeper had left hairs on the pillow but it was too late when got back from concert to mention it till the next morning so had to pick the hard pillow.

Very disappointing stay in the...

Liked: Breakfast was good, location is excellent and the staff are courteous and helpful.
Disliked: the hotel fell down on the basics. Our room was in the basement, looking UP at the street, and near where the room staff got their supplies in the morning. We had noise from the street, from the staff and from the adjacent property (very thin walls and TV volume very high). We had little to no sleep for the 3 nights we spent there. Being put in ‘the dungeon’ where we had to keep the curtains closed, or have people in the street looking down at us did not please us either. Value was thus non existent. The room they put us in should be used as a last resort only, or should be very heavily discounted.
