Between Welshpool and Newtown The Lion Hotel in Berriew offers comfortable rooms and Welsh breakfasts just 7 miles across the border with England. Liked: Nothing
Disliked: This hotel was not operational. There was no warning despite having booked. We arrived to find the place locked up. No contact from owner whatsoever. Atrocious.

Nightmare

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Arrived hotel was shut, could not contact anyone including booking.com.Service was terrible, don't know what is happening to my money.

Very good

Liked: Comfortable and clean room. Quiet location.
Disliked: Small car park. I knew I was not getting any breakfast, but at the price I would have expected some.

Host great and hotel comfortable...

Liked: Only continental breakfast avaliable, not hot options for breakfast and dinner.
Disliked: The rooms although took a time getting used to the colour, comfortable and different in a good way.

Liked: The staff were excellent Lovely little village .
Disliked: It was a shame the restaurant wasn't open , however the continental breakfast was very good.

Liked: it was very quirky decor. but the best part was the landlord and his grandson, very welcoming and friendly
