The Knickerbocker Hotel

Liked: It was a good location for going to the theater and dinner. Not too far from Penn Station. The room and bathroom were spacious. Good breakfast.
Disliked: The room was not well lit. Hallways monochromatic and dark. Not a fan of the "modern" look hotels have been adopting.

Any exceptionally comfortable hotel right...

Liked: The rooms were large for Manhattan. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the bathroom had ample space and a good shower.
Disliked: The lobby is virtually non-existent. Their is a concierge and 3 check-in desks, but its minimalistic, almost has if they don't want to know there's a hotel in the building. I find this off putting, snobby, and uncomfortable. When we were there their was scaffolding around the building and they still charged extra for a view. Finally there is a BigBus Tours stop right in front of the door. This means every time you enter of leave you have to push past people waiting for the bus and the hawkers trying to sell tickets. This one the single worst part of the hotel.
