Liked: Location, free spa

Not a place I would...

Liked: The spa is very nice.
Disliked: The bed was very soft and uncomfortable. The restaurant was so noisey in the evening you could not hear your partner speak and the food was expensive for what it was. The chair in the room by the bed was really hard with little padding making it unpleasant to sit on.When we arrived there was a large event on and we have to park 1/3 of a mile away as there was no parking. There were people making a lot of noise till late at night which made sleeping difficult the day we arrived.

Liked: Our room was neat, tidy and spacious. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: The hotel Wi-Fi was very poor, and we had to request access to alternate networks to stay connected. We stayed for three nights with three guests, and it would have been appreciated if the toiletries had been provided more generously. Lastly, our dinner bill was incorrect, and instead of addressing the issue constructively, the staff member at the counter seemed more focused on proving it was accurate rather than resolving our concern.

Lovely time, same about people...

Liked: Lovely room, lovely location, staff were excellent. Spa and pool were exceptional. Very restful atmosphere.
Disliked: Some of the other clients were loud and brash, not what I would expect from 4 star clients. Restaurant seating would be better if more individual seating opposed to a bench style arrangement.

Mixed review. But wouldn't go...

Liked: Spa was bonus, if a little small.
Disliked: Evening meal was excellent. But then disappointed by breakfast which was a lot of wandering around looking for things and making my own drink from a machine. After the great dinner, I had expected more at breakfast. Staff seemed to be run ragged.

Disliked: Policy changed to 2 hour spa usage per stay unless you pay £10 per person per hour more, big negative to us. We've been many times and unlimited spa usage is what attracts us to spa hotels

Liked: Set in ideal location , lovely and quiet Booked a suite which was a good size and bed extremely comfortable
Disliked: Definitely not value for money ! Service of staff poor ! Poor delivery of food , wrong order sent to table , waited over 15 mins for veg then over another 1/2 hr for partners food ( only dish to be served hot )Cancelled the following evening meal booked . booked afternoon tea for the following day again poor quality of food and staff incompetentBreakfast ok but only one choice of both cheese and ham, definitely not continental ( paid extra for breakfast too not worth it ) Lift to the spa where afternoon tea served was out of order , family member really struggled with stairsComplimentary tray in room exceptionally poor quality and not enough choice ( considering the cost of our stay )
