So no hot water. My keys were changed twice, so I would have to go to the front desk to get new ones. Why would they randomly change the keys and not tell me? It was a 10 minute Uber ride to my concert venue, the Crofoot Ballroom, but I think I might try elsewhere next time.
Liked: The in-house restaurant that does room service was delicious. Wish they were open past 3pm.
Disliked: No hot water until I was ready to check out. I asked if there was another room/place I could shower. No. Very frustrating.

Fabulous, convenient hotel with wonderful...
Liked: We loved this hotel! Such incredibly kind, flexible, attentive, friendly people. They really helped us out when I screwed up our reservation. They somehow found us rooms which were very comfortable. The common spaces - lobby and bar - are really nice as is the gym which is well equipped. The diner at the hotel is delicious and really cute. We didn't go to the hotel steakhouse but heard it is amazing. We will be back and will certainly recommend the hotel to others. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

Decent place to stay that...
Liked: The room was a nice size, the bathroom was nice, it was clean. My view was onto a parking lot and the location was on a very busy road without access to many amenities nearby without driving.
Disliked: Dated hotel and busy road location.

Despite a bad customer service...
Liked: The room was clean and fresh. The ambiance was nice, and the location is great for Bloomfield Hills and other nearby suburbs. The room at the back of the hotel was quiet and free from traffic noise from the nearby busy street. There was ample space for free parking, although some spots were far away from the entrance.
Disliked: The "free breakfast" option, only gives you a $15 voucher per person to spend at the hotel restaurant. That is only enough for a coffee and a bakery product, which was disappointing. Had I known this, I would not have paid for it, since this meant having to pay extra plus tip for something that would be included in the breakfast price elsewhere. Service was very slow, although the restaurant was not even one fourth full when we were there. Additionally, although I had a Booking.com confirmation saying I had reserved one room, the hotel said I had booked two and at first claimed they could not cancel the other room unless I contacted Booking and asked them to call the hotel to fix the issue, blaming the problem on Booking that often has such problems allegedly (although I had never encountered them as a frequent traveller). It didn't matter that I showed them the booking confirmation that clearly stated "one room" and the total price. They insisted that I must pay double the price unless Booking contacts them within a few hours. That was a very unpleasant start to our stay. Half way through my phone call to Booking at the hotel lobby, the reception staff, however, gestured to me that they did manage to cancel the other room for free. So, this hassle turned out to be all in vain and an example of very bad customer service.

Liked: Spacious, restaurants are in same building and are great. Crabtree & Evelyn personal products. Excellent bedding.
