Disliked: The bar staff in particular the boss was very rude and didn’t want us there…her attitude will rub off on the younger team around her . A shame because the food was some of the best we’ve had

Liked: The hotel is lovely and on the main street. There is plenty of free parking and an outdoor seating area, which was lovely and sunny. The restaurant food was lovely and very reasonably priced. The room was air-conditioned which was great as it was very hot. Room amenities were great too.
Disliked: We were disappointed with the room size, which was smaller than expected and there was no wardrobe, which was unfortunate as we were staying a few days. I was disappointed to find that there had been a service charge of 10% added to our bar bill, without asking. I expected this in the restaurant, as it was on the menu but not at a bar, it was not even table service. I mentioned it on leaving however due to catching a ferry, I did not have time to wait for something to be done.

Liked: True pub style, very dog friendly, probably best visited not during a heatwave though.
Disliked: I don't thing english country side pub/hotels are equipped for high temperatures, so the room, which had no airconditioning was quite hot, though it must be said t hat a ventillator was provided, bringing a dog is no issue but parts of the hotel then are off limits although you actually pay added fee for bringing the dog in the first place, i'm sure it makes sens, but then again not :-)
