Short but expensive stay

Liked: I had just checked in with my wife when we received a call from her cardiologist telling us that her heart monitor had registered a cardiac event and we had to return immediately to the hospital in Asheville. Never even got a chance to use the bathroom.
Disliked: It would have been better if someone reached out to me either from the Ivey's Hotel or booking .com with an offer of some break on the $361 plus tax charge for the room. Bad business, I assure you.

Liked: It was exceptional in every way - beautiful decor Did not want to go out !!
Disliked: Nothing

It’s a beautiful hotel but...

Liked: Beautiful room. Nice staff— just not enough of them.
Disliked: No shops in the area; only small shop in hotel. The hotel is badly understaffed. The hotel does not own the restaurant on the premise and assured us it would be open when we were there. It was not. There is little help from staff when trying to find things to do.

Liked: The staff was extremely hospitable. The property was beautiful. I really loved the decor. Everything was clean and smelled amazing. Our valet parking attendant David was SUPERB!!
Disliked: No complaints
