Beautiful hotel

Liked: Location superb and enormous bathroom with a tub! Handy gym too!
Disliked: Room service was expensive and not worth it.Valet hadn’t turned up when we went to check out (7am) and so we had to wait for front of house staff to get back to desk to then take US to the car (instead of the other way round!)

Elegantly Luxurious

Liked: The hotel was elegantly luxurious - the room although not expansive was stunning with every creature comfort provided. The location in the Central Business District was quiet in the evening with not many restaurants and bars in the area, but the hotel restaurants are top rated.
Disliked: Nothing

Bad

Liked: Unfortunately, there is nothing positive to report with our experience with The Ivey's/ Boookings.com. Our experience was very poor from the start. My husband and I gifted a room for one of our team members wedding night. Called the Ivey's to book directly since we were arranging / paying for someone else. They told us to go through bookings.com so we could add a Guest Name. So I did that. I got confirmation from bookings.com including a few follow up emails with the accurate date, guest name, room, etc. The day of the stay our team member called to see what time they could check in. The Ivey's had no record of his name or mine, and couldn't pull up from the confirmation number. I was on the phone with The Ivey's for over a half and hour trying to figure out what went wrong. Finally they claimed it "didn't come through" from Bookings.com, but they were able to find the reservation and charge my card. I confirmed it was the same room I had reserved as a tub was very important to the bride & groom. The Ivey's confirmed, and come to find out today there was no tub in the room. Extremely frustrating experience for us , but more importantly, for a gift that became more work than it needed to be and a bride & groom not getting what they expected on their wedding day. For the amount of money that one night cost we expected a luxury hotel experience from guest services all the way through checkout, we got the opposite.

Exceptional

Liked: This boutique hotel is truly exceptional! The decor was STUNNING! So comfortable I slept in and I haven't slept that late in years. I would love to stay here again. Having the Nespresso machine in my room was fabulous.
Disliked: The location makes valet parking a little difficult but the valet guys are excellent. I didn't like that one light switch controlled all the lighting in the room.
