The Hurdwick

Location, Location, Location

Liked: The location is perfect for Euston Station and Camden Lock Market, both within walking distance. This is a good base to stay for a night or 2. It is next door but one to a tube station to get you around London easily. This does make it a little loud/noisy in the basement room, but noise should be expected in the capital imo. Bed was very comfortable, I had a great sleep.
Disliked: The room was clean but the carpet and rugs were stained, making the room look dirty. Remove these for laminate, easier to clean and more hygienic.

We were very impressed with...

Liked: Loved the location! It was just around the corner from the tube, which was perfect for getting around London. There is a coffee shop nearby as well as plenty of places to eat. Several nice pubs within walking distance as well. A lot of the older buildings in the area did not have air conditioning, but our room at the Hurdwick did so we were very comfortable. There was alway coffee or drinks in the common room as well as a large screen tv. Pia went out of her way to accommodate our early arrival, and we were able to store our suitcases, and explore London until our room was ready.
Disliked: The Hurdwick is in an older building with no elevator and the stairs are very narrow, which is true for a lot of the hotels downtown, but we knew that when we booked the room so it did not bother us.

Liked: Good air conditioning which was a must with the recent hot weather. Great location for exploring Camden and easy access to the rest of London with a tube stop nearby.
