Cool hotel in hype neighbourhood

Liked: Great neighbourhood, nice hotel.
Disliked: Guests could not access the rooftop unless they had a restaurant reservation. I do understand that the hotel wants to keep the exclusivity but I think the rooftop could have been accessible by guests while the restaurant was closed.No separate lobby for hotel guests and the cafe got quite busy during the day, and the night.

Comfortable stay and friendly/warm service

Liked: Check in experience - attentive. Sydney checked us in and made us feel welcome. It was my husband’s 60th birthday week celebration. She gave my husband complimentary goodies which made him very happy. Throughout our week-long stay, front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Very comfortable bed, strong water pressure, from my room I have the view of the street and Manhattan and the river, the room has an electric kettle, the coffee they provide was very good, they provide both herbal and green tea, they have a water station on every floor, the bakery downstairs makes very good matcha and the sweet and savory pastries were excellent, location was excellent, I can walk to the park/water in 5 minutes
Disliked: This is just reality but be prepared for a small room. No separate area for hanging your clothes. Feels tight even for only two people. You get two big drawers which are part of the bed for storing your clothes. Water always spills out of the bathroom, but I can deal with this in exchange for strong water pressure.

Liked: Location was great bar and restaurant was great front desk staff very accommodating
Disliked: Rooms incredibly small and cramped no real coffee maker hair on walls in bathroom. Way too expensive.

Hotel is a great location...

Liked: Location was great. Rooms were small but fine. Staff very freindly and helpful.
Disliked: Parking is a problem. As I was coming from NJ not easy to get there than by car. The two locations the hotel suggested were full. I managed to persuade parking attendant at one to let me in but that was stressful arrival.

Disliked: The lobby was packed with people not staying at the hotel. We were there for a week and we were not able to use the hotel lobby. Locals use it for their office and meetings. We knew they were locals because they had coats. I wanted to meet with a friend for coffee and there was no space. The rooms were very small which is usual for a NYC hotel but not being able to hang out in another space made it unbearable.

Exceptional

Liked: Great location in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Free street parking nearby. Subway few blocks to go to Manhattan. My son and I went up for 4 days and 3 nights and had a ball. Love the cafe/lounge in the lobby - very hip.
