With its clean, modern design and thoughtful amenities, this budget-friendly spot is perfect for travelers who want a no-fuss stay in the heart of the action without sacrificing comfort.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything—and The House of Toby nails it. You’re under a 10-minute walk from King’s Cross and within easy reach of venues like Scala and the O2 Forum Kentish Town. After the encore, hop on late-night buses or the Underground to return quickly and safely. Though central, the hotel is tucked away just enough to offer a quieter night’s sleep than you'd expect. With 24-hour reception and flexible check-in from 13:30, it’s easy to drop your bags and head straight to the gig.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a budget-friendly base near London nightlife
  • Solo travelers catching a legendary artist at a nearby venue
  • Couples on a music-fueled weekend getaway
  • Fans needing a calm, clean space to recover post-concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who value location and comfort

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, you’re spoiled for choice with walkable cafés and late-night bites in the King’s Cross area. Grab a quick breakfast after your late night, or explore nearby pubs and international eats. Though room service isn’t available, the central location makes up for it with plenty of food options just steps away.

Nightlife Options

You’re in prime position to explore London’s vibrant music scene. With live music venues close by and an easy route to Camden's buzzing nightlife, you can keep the party going after the show. Prefer something more relaxed? There are plenty of cozy pubs and bars nearby serving local craft beers and cocktails.

What People Say

Guests love the cleanliness, friendly staff, and especially the location. Many reviews highlight how easy it is to get around London from the hotel, especially for concerts and events. The rooms are described as compact but efficient, with everything you need for a short stay.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can be on the smaller side—typical for central London—but guests say it’s a fair trade for the excellent location. Some mention that breakfast isn’t offered on-site, so plan to grab a bite nearby. A few commented on thin walls, so pack earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

The Bottom Line

An ideal pick for concert-goers who want a clean, affordable room in central London just minutes from top venues, without the late-night noise.

Perfect little hotel

Liked: The location of this hotel is brilliant, just a short walk from Kings Cross station. Small reception area but beautifully decorated linked to a bar area which was lovely. We stayed in a triple room which was small but not a problem for a short stay, the room was clean, towels provided, kettle, hairdryer, clothes rail and tv. The staff were very welcoming, informative and helpful. Your bags can be left before and after check-in/check-out free of charge. I would definitely stay again.

Excellent hotel when visiting London

Liked: Great, clean and spacious rooms with AC, which was amazing due to the hot temperatures outside. Very friendly staff and the location of The House of Toby is excellent, walking distance from St Pancras station and the underground. Great restaurants and bars in close proximity for breakfast on the go.
Disliked: I didn't think the pillows were really comfortable.

Great location, nice staff, dusty...

Liked: Handy location close to kings cross, 24 hour reception staff who were always lovely. I had originally booked a single and they very kindly offered me a double room instead!
Disliked: There was a building site outside pretty loud in the morning (I was in a lower ground floor room) and the room wasn’t very clean…lots of dust..

Very convenient if you need...

Liked: Comfy beds and friendly staff. I requested a ground floor room as there isn’t a lift. They were fabulous and sorted it out straight away.
Disliked: The room was quite dark and small.
