The Spotlight on The Hotel @ Fifth Avenue

Classic Comfort Steps from NYC's Iconic Stages

The Hotel @ Fifth Avenue offers a timeless, comfortable stay right in the heart of Manhattan. Just a 4-minute walk from the Empire State Building and close to subway lines, this classically styled hotel puts you within easy reach of NYC’s biggest music venues and nightlife. With cozy, well-equipped rooms and a location perfect for both sightseeing and late-night outings, it's a solid choice for travelers wanting location and simplicity.

Why Concert-goers love it

It’s hard to beat the hotel’s central Midtown location. Whether you're headed to a major arena or a hidden indie club, you’re just a few subway stops or a short walk away. With 24/7 subway access nearby, getting back after a show is hassle-free. Rooms offer a quiet place to crash, and the 15:00 check-in and 11:00 check-out times strike a good balance for those on a concert schedule.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a central base to explore the city and its music scene
- Solo travelers catching a bucket-list show in NYC
- Couples on a weekend music getaway
- Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery space without being too far from the action
- Budget-conscious music fans who want location without the luxury price tags

Food and Drink Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t offer on-site dining, there are dozens of eateries within walking distance—perfect for a midnight bite after the encore. From 24-hour diners to authentic Korean BBQ joints just around the corner, tasty options abound. Coffee makers in every room help with those late-morning starts, and nearby cafes offer breakfasts that won’t judge your sleep-in.

Nightlife Options

The hotel may be quiet, but you're steps away from Manhattan’s electric nightlife. Whether you're into rooftop lounges, dive bars, or live jazz, there’s something nearby. Koreatown is right outside the door, offering karaoke bars and Korean pubs that stay open late. Looking for something more chill? Several cozy cocktail bars are just a block or two away.

What People Say

Guests praise the unbeatable location, noting how easy it is to walk or hop on the subway to venues and attractions. The rooms are described as clean, cozy, and quiet despite the central location. Travelers also appreciate the affordable rates for Midtown, and the helpful front desk staff who are quick with local tips.

Areas for Improvement

The hotel’s classic decor and older furnishings might not suit those seeking modern luxury, and some guests found the elevators a bit slow during peak times. No on-site restaurant means you’ll want to plan meals out—but in NYC, that’s usually a plus.

The Bottom Line

The Hotel @ Fifth Avenue is a no-fuss, well-located home base for concert-goers who want to be close to the music without breaking the bank.

Rod, Albuquerque, visiting Madison Square Garden

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and courteous. The location was just right. We found a gem of a property in Manhattan. We are so looking forward to our next trip to NY.

Disliked: Was not made aware that the breakfast room was closed when booking the reservation.

Abby, Dayton, visiting Irving Plaza

The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything! The beds were memory foam and so comfortable! Our room seemed newly remodeled. The room was a bit small but we didn't care - just needed it to sleep and shower! The staff was friendly and helpful. The valet guy could have been a little more friendly but our car got to the parking garage and that's all we needed! The parking garage is right across the street so that was very convenient. We had a great stay!

Liked: Location; very clean; AWESOME beds.

Great option in manhattan near...

Liked: Room size for 2 person is good, as well as bathroom. Safe area, food options, subway and train station nearby, you can go to anyplace walking. Also they offer a good hair dryer which is important for ladies! You can leave luggage before and after checking/out which helps to explore the city if arriving early or leaving late.
Disliked: Noise AC can disturb during sleep. Also we missed having a frigobar in the room. Our floors ice machine was not working and the hotel don’t sell beverages or snacks (which would be great).

Friendly staff, but the room...

Liked: The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Every time we had a question or needed assistance, they were kind, quick, and welcoming. That was definitely the highlight of our stay.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the room was not worth the price. It was very small, and there was no real window – only one that opened into a shaft full of ventilation systems. When we left it open for some air, we came back to a room that smelled like sweat and spoiled food from the restaurants below. There was no fresh air, and the only ventilation came from an old and loud air conditioner. The walls were very thin, so we could clearly hear people moving around in nearby rooms. The interior was outdated, and didn’t match the photos – though this was the least of the issues. One small but odd detail was that the coffee machine was placed in the same room as the toilet and shower, right across from them. It’s not a major problem, but it felt a bit strange and uncomfortable.Overall, the lack of proper air and light made our stay quite unpleasant. Sadly, I wouldn’t book this hotel again.

Great Location for K-Culture Fans,...

Liked: -Location specially if you are into k-culture lot of restaurants and stores related with korean and japanese products-Closeness to the metro station-Bathroom has a lot of space -Easy check in / check out -Staff -Internet is really good!
Disliked: -The photos from the room did not match the actual room (this is the first time that this happens to me using booking) so the expectation versus reality was quite the dissapointment, because the room was way smaller and 100% did not match the photos when booking the room I found this really sketchy -Sometimes we found the room attendants fighting in from of us close to the elevators this was an uncomfortable situation-I also found invasive when they find you in the middle of a hallway and they asked you the room number and if you need them to clean
