Bad

Liked: Everything bar the owner, Jeremy. SO Bloody Rude and overstepped my personal boundaries by touching me on my arm without my permission to do so! INNAPPROPRIATE to say the least. He also withheld my refund as requested by my goodself because of the term and conditions laid out in the contract between himself, booking.com and myself. I paid £220 for one night stay at The Horn of Plenty near Tavistock. It is Amazing, however the owner, Jeremy leaves a lot less to be desired. Maybe, dear old Jeremy has to take early retirement and hand the keys to somebody more fittingto such an establishment, maybe the under manager or the Head Chef. Respect to both of them. Hope to meet you one day. It would be an honor for us all to partake at the HoP!

Unfortunately not as expected

Liked: Food was good and the room was comfortable.
Disliked: Unfortunately the whole experience was let down by a simple request at checkout. I had travelled with work and had asked for a VAT receipt. I left the lady on reception my key and details to email the receipt. I was told I would receive it the following week. It never arrived and after several phone calls chasing it I was told they had recently had a new computer system installed and they couldnt find any records of my visit! I was then called a few days later to be asked if I was booked in for that week, to which I replied no but was still awaiting a VAT receipt. The lady repeated they had a new computer system installed and their booking system was still a bit messed up. I was assured it was on her list to do, I never received it. I did receive a scanned copy of a piece of paper with my details and room cost written out but it wasnt what I needed. I found it very unusual that a hotel cannot provide a VAT receipt on request for those who ask. Its a shame as it would have been a great review otherwise. I would also have returned as Im regularly in the area for work but Ill be booking elsewhere now.
