The hotel is great fun, but the room itself sucked. Try to request a newly renovated room upon booking.

Liked: Great staff (shout out to Antoine at Public Bar); good music at pool; nice lobby; late checkout 12:30.
Disliked: Room lighting is terrible; room had a weird smell; awful picture above bed of a junked out rocker type; very expensive room service; thin walls.

Liked: Staff, history, location
Disliked: The staff encouraged me to make a reservation to eat on the on site restaurant and set up the reservation for me. It was my daughter's birthday and I was hosting a group of people. When we arrived, we discovered that the restaurant was closed. Fortunately, a manager in the bar jumped into action. He found a restaurant for us and provided transportation. He managed my grumbling like a true professional. He saved the day!

Good location but their ‘hey...

Liked: Location was perfect for all the tourist activities, found it very easy to use the Metro most of the time.
Disliked: The room was very ‘tired’; the leather longe had two splits in the back rest. The floor was very dirty around the bed, things stuck on my feet. One day room service ‘forgot’ to make up my room. Was as a shame the Concierge was away the entire week of my visit and none of the other staff knew much about activities. Probably save me hundreds of dollars as I had to work it out for myself and I did so many things.
