The Spotlight on The Herald by LuxUrban

Midtown Style Just Steps from the Music

Modern and sleek, The Herald by LuxUrban puts you right in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Just blocks from Penn Station, Times Square, and the Empire State Building, it’s a stylish urban base that’s as convenient as it is comfortable. With a rooftop terrace, on-site restaurant, and easy access to major concert venues, this hotel makes pre- and post-show life easy.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’re within walking distance of some of NYC’s biggest music venues, including Madison Square Garden and Times Square theaters. The hotel’s central location means late-night subway rides or pricey rideshares aren’t necessary. Rooms come with soundproofing and air conditioning, helping you recover from a loud night out. Plus, check-in starts at 3:00 PM, and with a 24-hour front desk, late arrivals are no problem.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends heading to a show and looking for places to hang out nearby
- Solo travelers who want to be close to the action but still feel safe
- Couples making a music-filled weekend out of it
- Fans who need a quiet, comfy spot to recharge after the encore
- Budget-conscious music lovers who still want a trendy Midtown vibe

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant and bar make grabbing a bite before or after your show super convenient. While there’s no 24/7 room service, you’re surrounded by walkable late-night eats—from classic NYC pizza joints to modern fusion spots. The shared lounge and rooftop terrace are great for a nightcap or pre-show snack, and local cafes offer solid breakfast options after a late night.

Nightlife Options

From dive bars to rooftop lounges, your nightlife starts right outside the front door. The hotel bar is a chill spot for winding down, and nearby venues offer everything from jazz to EDM. Whether you’re looking for a wild night out or a quiet drink with a view, Midtown has you covered.

What People Say

Guests love the central location, especially for walking to concerts and Broadway shows. Many mention the friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, and surprisingly quiet atmosphere for such a busy part of the city. The rooftop terrace is often highlighted as a hidden gem for relaxing.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are on the smaller side—as is typical for NYC—so pack light if you’re coming with a crew. Some guests noted the elevators can be a bit slow during peak hours. Not a dealbreaker, just plan ahead if you’re rushing to a show.

The Bottom Line

If you want to stay close to the music without sacrificing comfort or style, The Herald by LuxUrban hits all the right notes.

Good

Liked: Good price/value hotel. Location and view is absolutely great. Spacious room for midtown Manhattan. Room is simple but clean. AC worked perfectly fine.
Disliked: You have to pay to leave your bags (next to the front desk) on the day of checkout, that's no good service! Front desk is not a very welcoming environment. On our last day they forgot to clean the room.

Great location, comfortable rooms and...

Liked: Lovely staff and comfortable rooms in a perfect location for walking and using the subway to main attractions across New York city and beyond.
Disliked: The air condition was poor and the room wasn't cool. Rooms need updating as they are now old and have a lot of wear a tear throughout ( this didn't affect my stay at all but was expecting better for the price).

Great location for exploring

Liked: Great location with easy access to the whole city by foot or by subway.Team always available on reception to help.
Disliked: Small things like not enough towels were provided, so we had to ask, and we had to ask again after room was serviced.

Staff were very friendly and...

Liked: Location was great. Room was clean and tidy. Small fridge in room was good, being able to make it colder would have been ideal though. Aircon worked, however the coolest it can be set to is 21 degrees Celsius. We were grateful that it was working for sure.
Disliked: Only had a single towel in the room. Had to go and ask for a second one along with a floor mat. No hand towels or face cloths available. Only a tiny (and I mean tiny) single bar of soap. No hairdryer or shower products.Water was set quite hot, so keep that in mind.
