Average hotel, terrible breakfast

Liked: The hotel was convenient for our stay and access to the motorway.
Disliked: We had to pay extra for the parking, which we didn’t have to do the last time we stayed. The breakfast was awful, the cooked breakfast looked as if it had been stood around for ages, even though I was there before 9am, the fruit was browning and looked off, I had to ask for bread as it had all run out, the ‘orange juice’ was so pale I’m pretty sure that no actual orange had ever been near it. From what I could see the chef, and I think there was just one, spent the time in the hotel lobby on his phone and not in the kitchen. The staff member on duty in the restaurant was very polite however and was helpful, but he was the only one on. So £12 for cereal, yogurt and coffee, which where the only things that appeared safe to eat, was very very disappointing.

Liked: Weren’t there very long so just slept and left
Disliked: It was great for what we needed somewhere near to an event we attended

My opinion

Liked: The breakfast was good
Disliked: The price was too expensive and having to pay for parking was a joke, the room and hotel looked dated and in need of an upgrade.

Wouldn’t go back unless needed...

Liked: Breakfast was ok. It was quiet enough.
Disliked: Carpet in our room not properly cleaned (there were some bobby pins on the floor). Bathroom very dated and needs refreshing.

Don't stay unless you are...

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Very very un friendly staff, dirty bathroom, smelt of weed throughout with lots of trades men being the only guests we could see.
