Ripped off
Liked: I’m Disabled ( noted on booking.com) and the hotel had no lifts so the reception allocated a ground floor room! Accessible by 3 stairs, freezing cold and single beds even though I selected a double bed on booking.Reception moved me and after struggling with my bags ( no help offered) I arrived. Appeared very basic but I was tired. Cherry on the cake was no running water for the shower in the morning, complained to reception who made a note for facilities as I’d already checked out.Refund or reduction will be persuaded this weekend as I don’t appreciate being charged £97 for the experience
Disliked: See above

not enjoyable and wont be...
Disliked: evening meal in the bar area with children playing football is not my idea of a relaxing meal and breakfast was a farce, no staff, no cutlery coffee machine had ran out of milk, had to ask the maintenance man who got us cutlery

Bad
Liked: The only good thing about this hotel was the great staff and an okay breakfast setup.
Disliked: It was a horrible nightmare getting my luggage 2 separate sets of stairs through winding hallways to my room without an elevator. And the twin beds were super tiny. Had originally booked to stay 5 days, I had to get a more comfortable hotel at the Roydon Marina village hotel for less and normal twin beds. It wasn't good and overpriced.

Very disappointing
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Poor check in service and failure by the staff to access the computer check had to produce copies of booking and payment details. Also failed to be able to access our vehicle details to prevent car parking charges.

Worse stay ever .
Liked: The rooms were all clean, light and nice.
Disliked: Absolute nightmare! We booked 4 rooms for a 2 night stay before a wedding and 2 rooms for a 1 night stay. Upon arrival we were informed that their computer system had crashed and they could not check us in. Eventually we were escorted to our rooms and the manager unlocked our rooms with a master key but did not provide us with one until a few hours later. We were told that parking would be complimentary as we could not register. The next day the same thing happened with another 2 rooms and the manager again had to unlock the rooms. We never got key cards for these rooms . We understand computer problems happen. It was inconvenient however as we could not unlock our own rooms. The real problem began at checkout when we were told as we didn’t register our cars we would pay £100 a night for parking and that they wanted to charge us for rooms which were prepaid as they had no records of us checking in!!! I had to give them copies of our bookings to prove I already paid, and get them register our cars. It was the worst stay I have ever experienced . The staff were unhelpful, not apologetic and seemed to blame all the issues on us. A manager should have been present given all the issues they were having with their systems. The hall carpets seemed to be stained with vomit or bleach.

Superb
Liked: A nice, cozy hotel, easily accessible from London by train and bus. The room and the breakfast were nice. There was also a bar in the hotel where you can get dinner.
