They had a lovely wedding...

Liked: It was bought and given as a wedding night present for my Daughter and her new husband and they absolutely loved it! Luxurious products, lovely towering robes and a beautiful bath. They were very happy.

This hotel is NOT for...

Liked: The room decor was very cozy and the bed very comfortable. The location was lovely, very posh neighborhood and close to public transit.
Disliked: NO ELEVATOR...let me repeat that, NO ELEVATOR! We were staying here for a week and were given a room on the 3rd floor and at no time were we informed of this. On top of that, we were not offered any assistance on arrival. In fact, our check-in process was disappointing and frustrating. The room - for a larger room, the closet was very small (which is standard in Europe, but could have been bigger given the size of the room). If you are larger than a size 2 (female) you will struggle to enter the shower (narrow space). Also, there is no AC (though there are fans). While some room amenities such as the coffee and water and toiletries were a nice touch, the over inconvenience of the hotel was hard to overcome. Their focus is the pub and not the hotel. While one of the managers eventually tried to help, she couldn't change the way were treated and didn't really compensate us for the numerous issues we encountered during our stay. London was the last part of a 4 city Europe tour and we received the worst customer service at the our most expensive stay. We left very disappointed.

Nice pub room stay in...

Liked: The room was clean and well located. Pub had decent food as I enjoyed a meal one night. They provide working windows and fans for the top floor heat. Top floor still needs cooling on a day that barely reaches 15C. Nice to have water/tea etc. provided.
Disliked: The things that others have written about getting to/from the top floor are real, especially when you are carrying things to the room. that we expected before we booked, so is not exactly a criticism but something that you must plan for. The one thing a little off-putting is that the bar wasn’t willing to sell me a dram of single malt in anything but a plastic cup (I passed) for fear of having too few glasses near the end of the evening.
