Set in a grand period building the rooms at Grange Manor are decorated with Scottish tartans and have private bathrooms. Nice hotel in a great...

Liked: Good spacious room but could do with a bit of modernisation. Lovely comfortable bed. Great restaurant and nice breakfast with plenty of choice. Location great for visiting the Kelpies
Disliked: Room a bit old fashioned and could do with modernisation

Overall disappointing standard for what...

Liked: The nice look of the hotel from the outside, the reception and bar area. Staff well presented and pleasant.
Disliked: Found the room to be a bit old fashioned with very dark wood and drab looking furnishings. A lot of areas of wood, tiles and bath panel were chipped or scratched. There was only one bedside lamp in our room and only one hand towel provided. The bedroom window latch had obviously been replaced at some point and it was a mismatch latch which didn't look very good. Thought the radiator looked a bit dusty and didn't want to switch it on for fear of dust flying around room. The garden view was disappointing as it amounted to some weedy grass and overgrown bushes.Would describe the breakfast as adequate. Not alot of toast provided or extra offered. Poached eggs were hard. Would have preferred self service to hot food. Found the continental selection limited in choice and variety.
