Very good

Liked: Room was nice and spacious, location was great, central to the town, staff were very helpful and friendly and abliging.
Disliked: We thought the room and the refreshment articles would be cleaned and replenished but they weren't, another couple of hangers would have been nice, but on the whole all was fine.

Welcoming and comfortable stay

Liked: Location right on the high street, perfect! Our room was clean and had lovely staff working there. The breakfast was, hot, delicious and plenty of it. The high street had many places to eat and drink. The lovely St John's church is close by too.
Disliked: Parts of the building need a little tender care. The communal area/corridors need more attention to cleaning. As it's also a pub and used by many, we were a little disappointed that they didn't have any white wine on offer for our 2 overnight stays.

SHOCKING HOTEL.

Disliked: Absolutely shocking hotel. The place was absolutely filthy, I ran my hand over things and my hand was covered in dust. Not exaggerating. Phoned reception staff to come and see state of room and they acted like they had no idea. Shower broken, hand on shower door broken too which they fixed but didn't help with anything else. Blind on window broken and chain and fittings left dangling, also as no coverings we had no privacy. We paid extra and chosen what we thought was the best room, we were in the osprey room, right next to the car park outside, both days we were woken up by the bin men or the hotel staff sorting thorough beer barrels really early in the morning.Had no option to go elsewhere everywhere was fully booked and the hotel had no rooms either. We chanced breakfast one morning and it was ok, bit on the greezy overdone side so left a lot of mine, service was rubbish the gentleman who was serving was miserable and slow, went missing a lot and when we finished our breakfast we left after waiting 10 minutes for him to clear our plates. Rubbish experience, lots of stuff broken but still left in room, I would highly not recommend this place. Needs shutting down and redoing. Cleaning team need to go and learn how to do their jobs properly too.
