Excellent hotel in fantastic location...

Liked: Great rooms, comfy bed, excellent location in Hollywood. Good vibe throughout my 7 day stay, close to amenities with nice rooftop pool and gym and friendly staff. The restaurant and bar downstairs were fabulous.
Disliked: Service on the rooftop was a bit scanty when I went for a swim and at times the hotel generally was a little raucous (my neighbours / the corridors and outside could be noisy)

Liked: The location was good.
Disliked: The rooms were very small. The bathroom had a smell coming from the drains. The bathroom was not very clean. The staff were not the friebdliest or most helpfull

Really great location and Value...

Liked: I wouldn’t keep on returning if it weren’t good.My stay at Godfrey exceeded all kinds of expectations, which were high to begin with: amazing location - very central, a great room with really nice amenities.
Disliked: Customer Service needs real improvement, it hasn't been improved since my last visit.Receptionist is still do not give a F.

Disliked: We stayed one night on the 24th May at this hotel. We had a terrible experience due to a loud party on the rooftop directly above our room that went on until 2 AM. The bass was so strong that our bed was literally vibrating. It felt like we were at the actual party and no earplugs could work to eliminate this incredibly loud music. I have never experienced anything like this, it was absurd. We called a few times and the front desk was not very accommodating. Although they admitted that our room was particularly poorly soundproofed.We should have been informed in advance that there would be a party and that our room was located directly under —then we could have chosen not to stay there that night. Alternatively, the hotel should not have rented out the room knowing there would be a loud event. We should not have to pay for your party with not getting what we paid for - a room to be able to sleep in. We brought this up at check-out, but all they said they could do was waive a so-called “amenity fee” of $35. We believe we deserve far more in compensation! In fact, we shouldn’t have to pay for this night at all—it felt like torture. The man at the front desk claimed you can’t do anything since it was an externally hosted event at the rooftop, but that’s an absurd excuse. You rented out your rooftop bar, and that has nothing to do with us as private guests—we shouldn’t have to bear the consequences.
