Liked: The home cooked food and friendliness of the staff.
Disliked: It was difficult to find at night. The GPS had difficulty directing me to the Inn.

Liked: Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food (dinner and breakfast) was good. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot.
Disliked: Noise from nearby M6, no soap/shower gel or,bath mat provided, unheated hot towel rail in bathroom, room was small and dark, only one bedside lamp and bulb was malfunctioning

A little gem of a...

Liked: A perfect one night stay. I needed accommodation at short notice in Carlisle /Penrith area and didn’t want to stay in national chains.So glad I found this . It was in a rural location but still close enough to major routes. The staff were friendly, room clean and tidy. Great home cooked food on the menu and for breakfast the chef even arrived early when I said I would be leaving before the breakfast opening times. A perfect stay and will definitely be back.

Superb

Liked: Members of staff could not do enough for you. The food was excellent and the accommodation was spotlessly clean. The room was small but the bed was comfortable and the modern shower room was spacious with a great walk in shower.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Stopped on way up to Scotland. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and tidy. Shower was incredibly good, lots of strength behind it. The only bad thing I can think of, and it’s nothing really. I was too hot with the duvet cover!!! But then I am a woman of a certain age!!! Liked the fact you pick your breakfast before hand , the night before and it was cooked fresh and hot.

Liked: Really lovely stay, the room & bathroom were nice & clean, the bed was really comfy. The evening meal was excellent, and so was breakfast. Staff were really welcoming. Would definitely recommend
