Disliked: Lots of stairs!

Exceptional

Liked: Staff were exceptional throughout the hotel, well informed, polite and well presented in smart uniforms.Great, service throughout the hotel, excellent breakfast, choices and the service for breakfast, We would recommend this hotel, location and parking was good. The hotel has character. We would definitely stay again. Our room was modern, in style, bathroom had been updated and refurbished in a modern style, had it not been for the odd bits of dust we found on the door handles and fittings, it would had been perfection.
Disliked: Some passage ways to the rooms, need updating and refurbished, new carpets, decor,Dusty in areas around staircases.Some parts of the bedroom, need a good dusting, eg. Internal door handle in our room, tiles, fittings, in the bathroom.

Disliked: The room was way to hot our dog we tried to get a refund but they wouldn’t let us

Bit disapointed

Liked: Liked the decor and old history of the hotel..
Disliked: Room was far too warm. Band was playing until 11pm we hadn't been informed of before our stay. We'd driven from Scotland and wanted to rest. The room was noisy from traffic and a late night Pizza shop opposite. Didn't sleep well at all

Liked: The friendliness of the staff. The lovely feature room and the central location.
Disliked: No serious problems but just before checking out, the cold tap in the bathroom was continually pumping out hot water! Reception were made aware.

We would stay again

Liked: Super breakfast easy car parking good location
Disliked: Noise in corridor outside bedroom. Tea in bedroom horrible

Liked: Good breakfast, plenty of options. Cooked plate was well presented.
Disliked: Breakfast - it's a shame that they don't bring pots of tea to the table. I cannot understand why it has to self-serve.
