The Grade II-listed Gables Hotel is located in the heart of Gretna. With its beautiful gardens the family-owned Gables offers free WiFi and free on-site parking. The hotel's restaurant has earned a reputation for fine traditional Scottish food and it offers a varied à la carte menu as well as a carefully selected wine list. For a less formal setting the cozy lounge bar offers home-cooked bar meals. It is only a mile from the M(A)74 M6 and A75 giving easy access to Glasgow Dumfries & Carlisle. Amazing staff cyoot building

Liked: The staff went above and beyond, couldn't have been taken care of more, really went out if their way, advice on where to eat , gin recommendations, gave us a bigger area to prepare for our wedding we were attending, gave as a beautiful breakfast so kind and helpful. Very clean and fresh room was a great size, bathroom spotless and had everything we needed shower was amazing. Anything else we needed we just asked and it was delivered thankyou so much for having us , highly recommend for a family of 5
Disliked: One bed(mattress) wasn't to comfy(but I am heavy) but the other 4 were great

Good stay for son’s wedding...

Liked: The location was good for son’s wedding as was breakfast in the mornings.
Disliked: Room was a bit too warm and pillows too hard.

Liked: Not much
Disliked: The hotel is in desperate need of renovations. Looks dirty and dilapidated. Paint in bathroom peeling off. Below toilet, board falling apart. Bathroom floor uneven. View was of rows of motorhomes/caravans. Hotel is nice looking on outside but not the inside. Walls are so thin, we could hear people talking in next room
