Overpriced hotel and unhelpful staff

Liked: The pub was pleasant
Disliked: The young lady that greeted us on the arrival was not helpful, even though the room we were staying was available, she didn’t allow us to use it to change for a wedding. She kept us waiting for 45 mins, enjoying herself while we were waiting, and ignoring us. We had to wait at the end in the pub toilets which wasn’t very good. The hotel rooms are ok but way overpriced for what it is. I travel and stay in hotels the time and for the same price you can get way better hotel rooms and with better facilities

Disappointed with the comfort value,...

Liked: Beautiful building and location. Staff were polite and helpful. Menus quite pricey, but food all well presented.
Disliked: Sadly I had very disturbed night, my room, number 10, was situated at the exact entrance area of building, where the fire door crashed and banged each time a guest came in, I had very little sleep which did spoil my visit in all.

On first glance it’s lovely,...

Liked: It’s beautiful to look at and well decorated, the staff were friendly enough.
Disliked: The beds were really hard, I like a firm mattress but that was bordering on solid. Noisy throughout the night, needs soft close doors. A mini fridge and option of water would be ideal when rooms are that hot. WiFi apparently available but impossible to get in room, had to go to the front of the entrance and then sign up before it worked. The food is very pricey for the quality, I paid £3.95 for a croissant and jam which was smaller than ones you buy in the supermarket.
