Great location; lovely historic hotel, and overall, friendly and hospitable staff.
Liked: Front desk and valet.
Disliked: Dining experience after the show could have been more welcoming.

Disliked: The parking sucked... I didn't mind valet parking but what I can't stand is someone tried to break into my Suburban with what looks like a screwdriver while my Suburban was parked in Valet

Will stay again
Liked: Staff service, vallet parking, location to river walk and other atttractions, view from room of Alamo.
Disliked: Bathroom was very cold compared to rest of the room.

I would absolutely recommend this...
Liked: Caleb was great. He wasn't able to accommodate my request to have both of our rooms close together, but he spent some extra time trying and the effort was appreciated. The rooms were clean, beautiful and very comfortable. The bathrooms were spacious and luxurious which was WONDERFUL for us weary travelers. When our TV remote didn't work, a very nice technician came to our room very quickly to take care of the problem. We enjoyed our quick stay and will definitely stay here again.
Disliked: The hotel was great, just great. But... that building has sooooo much history so we were hoping to see some of that history inside; paintings, pictures, etc. Maybe we just didn't see it?? It's a gorgeous historical building on the outside, but just a Double Tree by Hilton on the inside. The wait to get an elevator was pretty long every time; seemed like only one was working and we heard other patrons complaining about them as well.

Liked: Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Warm cookie upon arrival was nice and so was doggy treat for our fur baby.
Disliked: Elevators were a nightmare! And did not like sliding bathroom doors so close to bed that you had to turn sideways to get into bed.

Disappointed due to unacceptable damage,...
Liked: warm cookies
Disliked: Waited 10-15 minutes after being seated in the restaurant by the hostess without a waiter/waitress acknowledging us. The people sitting in the same section said they had the same frustration with the slow and minimally attentive wait staff. We eventually left without eating, but on the way out I helped myself to a glass of udrinking water at the restaurant?s breakfast buffet, however it was awful. Bottled water was not available in the room, the vending machine was also out of bottled water. The bathroom shower was dirty with a previous guess? long hair on the wall, the glass door on the shower would not close, paint was peeling/flaking from ceiling bathroom, and the ceiling had been cut out and poorly repaired or not repaired at all. The bedroom curtain was a low quality material that had been ripped in multiple places and poorly repaired, more like cobbled together over the years.
