A fantastic stay, highly recommended!

Liked: I highly recommend staying here. The staff were lovely, the room was spacious yet cosy and luxuriously decorated, and the breakfast was the best of the 7 hotels we stayed at on our 2 week road trip (my boyfriend is still talking about how good the bacon was!). They’ve really thought of everything. There’s even a mini fridge in the hallway with fresh milk for tea and coffee - a really nice touch. I felt that it was definitely worth the cost.
Disliked: My only small gripe was that the bed was 2 singles pushed together and it was too uncomfortable to lie in the middle. This seems to be really common now, I’m not sure why. Perhaps a mattress topper would make the divide between the 2 beds more comfortable? Not sure if they have actual king size beds here but it’s potentially worth requesting it when booking, if that’s your preference.

Almost perfect

Liked: All round an excellent experience.
Disliked: Very noisy 'locals' at the bar on the first night, conversing at an extremely loud level, not really respecting other guests in conversation around them.

Loved every minute there! Fab...

Liked: It’s exactly as described. Friendly, homely, spotlessly clean, great food and beautiful countryside.
Disliked: Would have liked fresh veg with dinner. Not advised needed to order as an extra with the steaks and cod. Breakfast buffet was a bit tight. No fresh fruit. The cooked was quite excellent.Several people came together and poor waitress seemed over stretched so a wait for coffee.

Excellent in all respect and...

Liked: The room was excellent:- a good size, well designed and equipped, warm comfortable and very clean. It was in an adjacent building to the main pub. The pub is a very traditional old English pub with various different rooms and nice log fires burning. There is an excellent and interesting selection of wines by the glass. The staff were very friendly and the food and service top notch. Breakfast too was excellent.
Disliked: The terms were stated that no prepayment would be taken and I would pay at the property but it was charged to my card the day before without me knowing. Not a big deal but I wanted to pay a different way
