Just a mile from Llanelli's center the luxury The Diplomat Hotel Restaurant & Spa has free parking free Wi-Fi and a modern leisure center. Ffos Las Racecourse is a 10-minute drive away. The hotel was built in 1810 and today its 50 bedrooms boast stylish décor and modern features. Rooms are located in the Main building and also in the Coach House (annex Building). Each room includes a TV hairdryer tea/coffee facilities and a private bathroom. Guests can relax in the luxurious New Eden Spa with facilities including a sauna steam room hot tub gym and indoor pool. A range of health and beauty treatments are also available. Traditional Welsh and lighter continental breakfasts are served in the Atrium each morning. Trubshaw Restaurant named after Concorde Chief Test Pilot and former guest Brian Trubshaw offers a modern menu. The Millennium Coastal Park with views of the Gower Peninsula is about 1.5 miles away. Just 5 minutes' drive brings guests to the famous Parc-Y-Scarlets Rugby Stadium home of the Llanelli Scarlets.

Superb

Liked: Very good breakfast cooked to order with very friendly helpful staff. The evening meals were also very tasty and to a high standard.

Bedroom, bar and restaurant was...

Liked: Big bedroom and was clean. Bar and restaurant was great as well. Staff were very polite and ready to help.
Disliked: Bathroom in the room was dated and needed an upgrade - shower wasn’t great and took my wife ages to try and wash out her shampoo and conditioner. The swimming pool and changing rooms were in poor condition and needed upgrading.

Diplomat Hotel overnight stay

Liked: We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Originally booked a room in the outer building but got moved into the main hotel which was great.Our table for dinner had extra decorations on it and the staff were all amazing. Spa facility really nice.
Disliked: Would have been nice if pool and spa was open a bit later into the evening

Liked: Superb hotel, good food, comfy room good bathroom. Large carpark a little steep in places. Easy to findOur second visit and we will return.
