The Spotlight on The Dilly

Historic Comfort in the Heart of London's Music Scene

Modern luxury meets classic London charm at The Dilly, a grand hotel set between Piccadilly and Regent Street. With elegant, oversized rooms, plush bathrobes, and cozy slippers, you’ll find everything you need for a restorative stay after a night out. Just steps from major shopping and entertainment hubs, this hotel is right where the action is—yet still offers a peaceful retreat.

Why Concert-goers love it

Concert-goers love The Dilly for its central location—just a 5-minute walk to Piccadilly Circus and 10 minutes to Leicester Square and Covent Garden. Whether you're catching a show at a legendary theatre or heading to a nearby music venue, you're right in the middle of it all. After the concert, unwind in your spacious room or recharge in the steam room and gym. With a flexible 12:00 check-out, you can sleep in without worry. Note: London transport runs late, and The Dilly is perfectly placed for night buses and Tube access.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to explore London pre- and post-show
  • Solo travelers chasing dream gigs in the West End
  • Couples making a romantic weekend of it
  • Fans needing a quiet recovery space after the encore

Plus, you're within walking distance of a wide range of restaurants and cafés.

Nightlife Options

You're in one of London's top nightlife areas. Within minutes you'll find bars, lounges, and clubs for every vibe—from classy cocktails to pulsing DJ sets. Prefer to keep it chill? The hotel's own bar offers a sophisticated space to decompress with a drink.

What People Say

Reviews highlight the fantastic location, spacious rooms, and friendly service. Guests love the historic atmosphere combined with modern amenities. Many mention how easy it was to get to nearby theatres and music venues.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the hotel’s payment policy—no contactless or mobile payments—can be inconvenient, so be sure to bring a physical card. A few areas of the building show signs of age, but most find it adds to the charm.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to a concert in central London, The Dilly offers the ideal mix of location, comfort, and late-night convenience—all in a beautifully historic setting.

very frustrating and embarrassing

Disliked: We arrived at the property and my card wouldn’t work , I’m not sure why. I was using my apple wallet and I forgot my physical card. That was my own fault. I paid through booking.com using PayPal at the property and told the staff at the front desk. While we were standing there, showed them the payment confirmation and they were happy with that. We left our bags at the reception because the room wasn’t ready yet, we were early and went for a walk around London. We came back around 3pm to check in and the room was ready. They told us we needed to pay but I told them that I had already paid this morning using PayPal in front of one of their staff members and I showed them the screenshot of the payment confirmation in booking .com and also the payment coming out of my bank account. They gave us the Key cards but they said for only one night as they had to check the payment. I had already provided as much proof as I could but I didn’t mind because I just assumed that they would contact booking.com and resolve the issue. The next day before we went for a walk around London we went to reception and showed them the proof again just to avoid any issues and they said ok. and when we arrived back to the room around 1pm we were locked out of the room. Again I showed the payment confirmation and they gave us key cards for the next night. We changed for ready and went to the concert in Hyde park. Not expecting any more issues, I completely understand the fact that they were worried about the payment if there was an issue with their system but I couldn’t possibly provide anymore confirmation, I paid 700 for two nights. After the concert we went back to the room we wanted to just freshen up and get some cash before going out to meet with a few friends at a pub near the hotel. It was around 11.

NOT WORYH THE MONEY

Liked: The pool and the bar
Disliked: The room on the 9th floor was awful. In need of re decorating, stains on carpet, wardrobe was dirty and full of scratches, skirting boards dirty. View was fair from the room. I've been home for 4 days and am still waiting on the deposit to be refunded. Coffee machine wasn't working in the room, rang down, and they said they would send a new one up, but they never did.

Amazing staff! Great location! Perfect!

Liked: We had a issue with our first room, a few manitance problems BUT!!!!!! when we called down the staff were extremely attentive and reactive and we were moved quickly. Our room was clean, comfortable and perfect for our overnight stay.A special thank you to Nancy who was absolutely lovely and very professional!Location was perfect - I would say if you're visiting London as a tourist stay here! Everything is in walking distance or a quick tube ride, easy to get trains from Charing Cross and Victoria, and taxis are always passing.Breakfast - great selection
Disliked: You may want to opt for a bigger room if staying more then a couple of days

A lovely hotel !

Liked: It’s a very elegant place and the rooms are beautiful. The staff are very keen to help in any way they can and although we experienced a few problems, the problems were resolved in an excellent way by the very capable staff
Disliked: Don’t like that we were refused a drink at the bar at 10.50 on a Monday night

Liked: We travelled to London to celebrate my birthday. In the room when we arrived was a bottle of prosecco, chocolate cake with chocolate covered strawberries. The bed was decorated with a large red petal heart along with a birthday banner, teddy, chocolates and a balloon, with a further written message in the bathroom on the mirror. It was so amazing and just made our stay a little bit special. The hotel was amazing from the staff, to the room, breakfast and even the little extra touch when you leave giving you a goodie bag when you leave. This hotel and staff definitely go the extra mile making your stay that extra bit special. Thank you so much
Disliked: Having to leave
