I have given this hotel...

Liked: Location which I know well and having stayed previously often found the staff very friendly.
Disliked: The room i was allocated this trip was tired and at best ordinary no matter even disguised as a "classic room". As a regular global traveller and ex contributor to Conde Nast Traveller I am aware of the pressure and demands on a hotel and staff. The room however I was given I normally wouldn't accept and most definitely given the price paid for it. I was informed I shouldn't have booked via Booking.com. The tiny window attic room was a tired room verging on dirty, a stained bath tub, likewise the carpet ....paying almost £400 per night for this standard is completely unacceptable. The manager incorrectly (and again) informed me they couldn't issue a receipt and showed little interest until I pressed and another staff member rather reluctantly offered they could provide a receipt.

not good at all

Liked: we didn't like anything about the hotel. The only good thing was that the manager was very helpful in moving us to a new room and applying some discounts throughout our stay
Disliked: The hotel was very dated and in need of a complete revamp, it is totally not worth the prices they are charging. very unhappy customer

Superb

Liked: Loved our stay - The bed was so comfy and the room was quite - I should have paid more for a front facing room but noted for next time, the breakfast are was excellent and the staff were all so helpful. we will defiantly use this hotel again.
Disliked: There want much we didn't like , only negative would be the water pressure in the shower and how dark the room was facing the back of the building - Unable to open the windows to let some fresh air in was also a down side to the room.
