Liked: The location is good and the room itself although small and basic was recently done up. Although I barely saw the staff when they were present they were all very kind and helpful.
Disliked: The carpets made the corridors smell like a wet dog. Clearly they had done up the rooms which was great for a budget hotel, however the access to the rooms requires a lot of work as it felt like a storage area. Furthermore, although the whole town stops serving drinks and quietens down by 12 this pub had load music until 3am both Friday and Saturday. You could hear everything that was happening in the pub from the room, from the music, the talking and even the pool cue. Finally we were told check out by 10:30 and we could leave our bags in a safe place for the day. At 10:30 there was nobody in the whole venue, so just note on a Sunday there is no staff until 11am. The room was also very very hot, we turned the fan on and kept the window open for air however the fan dropped dust all over the bed.

Liked: It was ok for 1 night ,it was central location ,the staff were fantastic ,it was clean ,cheap
Disliked: Hotel outside looked great but inside it was a pub very dark in need of some loving care ,ok it did have a separate entrance ,with very narrow stairs and hall ways ,it was a maze to find your room ,room itself was very tiny ,a squeaky metal spring double bed ,a chair ,a small built in shelf ,a kettle ,a cup, a few tea bags ,no milk ,bathroom a very small closet so small you could not turn around , with toilet ,tiny sink ,so small you needed to use your cup to fill your kettle from tap ,a shower which was ok ,one towel

Liked: Great location, clean room very good value for money, basic but suited me. No breakfast but Weatherspoons is a minute walk away to get a breakfast.
