Do not book this hotel,...

Liked: The staff were kind. The location was good—very close to Paddington Station with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Only 15 minutes to central London by Underground.
Disliked: Dirty, dirty, and again—dirty! The room was like a sauna during the first week of July. The tiny window did nothing to cool it down. The hallway was also dirty. The pictures on booking.com do not match reality at all. The room was extremely small—there wasn’t even space to open a suitcase properly. There wasn’t even a simple rack to hang clothes. The TV didn’t work. The shower was leaking, and the bathroom door handle was broken.Even though it says they offer luggage storage, they actually charge £6,5 per bag, which was not clearly mentioned in advance. The staff were kind, but they had nothing to offer. It was so hot in the room that the receptionist gave us his own fan, kettle, and mug to help us.

Awful!

Liked: The location
Disliked: Everything else. Dirty room, uncomfortable beds, tv glitching, bathroom dirty, no air con. A really tiny room. The carpet was badly laid and dirty - toe nail found on the floor. Really very disappointing!

Liked: Staff member was amazing. Very accommodating.
Disliked: The room was very small and the shower was tiny. The room could do with a fresh lick of paint and a deep clean

Peaceful budget hotel. Beware of...

Liked: It's a budget hotel in Central London. So manage your expectations. I was pleasantly surprised with it being clean and quiet though.
Disliked: The room had a roof leak, which left half the floor totally soaking. I woke up and everything on it was soaked through. Thankfully I left electronic equipment on other side, as that would probably have be ruined. I mentioned it to staff and was just met with a look of 'so what?'. Leaves me doubting it will be fixed. People will always stay at this price point (until the ceiling collapses anyway :D) So if you stay, be mindful of this. Also, TV didn't work but no big deal. Had it not been for the leak I'd probably stay again as a reasonable London hotel and I slept well.

Bates Motel has better service

Liked: Almost nothing
Disliked: No wifi, no hot water, no personal to address the issues. No AC. Stay at your own risk ⛔️
