Pretty good central stay

Liked: Great location. Room was nice. Good to have a fan supplied . Breakfast served till10.
Disliked: FAN was COVERED in thick dust but I didn't realise until I switched it on.2nd floor room was hot in the heatwave.Was told at 9:45 breakfast finished in 15mins. They'd started clearing away already. Scrambled eggs were milky and odd texture.

Liked: Staff friendly, nice bar area.
Disliked: Little privacy as our room was overlooked by flats, need blinds or better curtains. As had to pull curtains together and put lights on to get ready in afternoon.

Would stay again

Liked: Pleasant stay. Clean and comfortable. Lovely staff. Easy breakfast with good selection and choice. Only photo taken, sadly, was of Chelmsford cathedral (was there for graduation.)

Avoid poor customer service and...

Liked: Location and proximity to city centre
Disliked: Short staffed and poorly run. Rooms were not ready on time upon check in. Poor customer service and delay to get in rooms, resulted in us being late for an important event. Husband later became unwell (diabetic hypo) spent the night in the local hospital instead of the hotel. Hotel charged us £30 to extend check out after discharge from hospital. In the circumstances was a bit of an insult. No care despite telling them the situation. Could see the staff really trying with general customer service, felt bad for them a lot of trainees and staff trying their best.

False advertising and doesn’t warrant...

Liked: Reasonably clean and one member of staff particularly helpful
Disliked: Decor; access; price and vfm. The quality advertised does to reflect the property at all. I would have been better off in a premier inn.
