The Spotlight on The Cleveland

Boutique Comfort Steps from Paddington and Hyde Park

Modern-meets-Victorian at The Cleveland, a boutique 4-star hotel offering serviced suites in the heart of London. Just under 0.5 miles from Paddington Station and a short stroll from Hyde Park, this stylish spot blends period architecture with contemporary design. Each suite includes a private kitchenette, free WiFi, and a luxury bathroom, giving you both independence and comfort in one of London’s most connected neighborhoods.

Why Concert-goers love it

The Cleveland is a solid pick for music fans thanks to its central location and quiet residential square setting. You’re within 10 minutes’ walk of four Underground stations, giving you easy late-night access to venues across the city—from the West End to Camden. After the gig, come back to a peaceful, low-key atmosphere that’s ideal for winding down. Plus, with 24-hour staff and flexible self-catering options, the hotel works well for night owls and early risers alike.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends will love the larger suites with separate seating areas to hang out before or after the show.
Solo travelers chasing big-name acts have a safe, central base.
Couples can make a romantic weekend of it with Hyde Park strolls and West End shows.
Fans wanting quiet recovery will appreciate the calm of Cleveland Square.
Budget-conscious music fans will find value in the kitchenette-equipped rooms, cutting down on meal costs.

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, every suite comes with a modern kitchenette—perfect for prepping post-show snacks or lazy breakfasts. The hotel is surrounded by walkable dining spots, from cozy cafés to international eats. Prefer to dine in? Grab takeaway from nearby eateries and enjoy it in your suite’s seating area. Breakfast-friendly options are also nearby for those slower mornings after a late night.

Nightlife Options

The Cleveland is close to several pubs, cocktail lounges, and late-night bites in Paddington and Bayswater. While it doesn’t host live music on-site, the location makes it easy to reach iconic nightlife spots across London. Whether you're heading to a gig in Soho, a jazz club in Mayfair, or a late lounge in Camden, you're never far from the action.

What People Say

Guests love the spacious rooms, cleanliness, and the ability to self-cater. Reviewers highlight the quiet location as a big plus, especially after late nights. The friendly, multilingual staff get frequent shout-outs, and many appreciate the hotel’s access to multiple Underground lines.

Areas for Improvement

There’s no restaurant or bar on-site, which might be a downside for those wanting a hotel with a full-service vibe. Some suites are below street level, which might not suit everyone. And while the area is peaceful, night owls might prefer livelier surroundings.

The Bottom Line

With its blend of quiet charm, central location, and suite-style flexibility, The Cleveland is a great base for concert-goers who want to explore London’s music scene without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

Wouldnt stay again.

Liked: Location was good. Room was comfortable
Disliked: There was no water for showers or toilets on our second day. The plumber was called and dealt with the situation but it was up to us to discover what was going on.

I will be back...one day!

Liked: The front desk and cleaning staff were friendly and professional. They copped some flak from unreasonably 'entitled' guests with tact and understanding. I would have been less diplomatic! The hotel's position is excellent. Having aircon was a real bonus!Whilst I didn't use the facilities in the little kitchenette in the cupboard, it is an excellent inclusion.
Disliked: The tv reception was poor. I'm guessing it may be an aerial issue. I was in room 19 with a door at the top of stairs leading from the lift, next to my room. Every time this door closed, a loud thump went through my room, which would wake me up.
