The City Hotel

Would not recommend staying here if you want to sleep; the general location is extremely noisy with noise until 4am - not good.

Liked: Breakfast staff were very nice.
Disliked: Extremely noisy location.

Excellent stay in a really nice, friendly hotel - could not fault a thing.

Liked: Clean single room, great on a budget of one night. Fan already in room, very much welcome on a warm summer day/night
Disliked: Being on the tall side meant knocking my head on the low roof a few times, mainly in the shower.Thinner walls than expected ment hearing muffled conversations next door but worse was guests talking outside the room (I realise the hotel aren't responsible for rude guests) next morning.The banning of takeaways in the room was also a disappointment after a day of travelling and an evening at the Dunfermline match. A meal deal from Tesco wasn't ideal.

Liked: The hotel had an amazing restaurant fantastic location the room was lovely but very warm as we were above the kitchen my sister in law never slept..we would go back but not to this room . We had a fan on all night and the bathroom window open ..A hot choice of Breakfast was also served also lots of cereal toast etc .. bed comfortable too just the heat in the room....
Disliked: The heat that was generated by being above the kitchen room 5 l think we were in would ask for a different room if l booked again
