Tired , dated hotel with...
Disliked: It is a tired, old fashioned hotel, no fridge in the room, Curtains had stains on, water struggled to go down plug hole. Just very poor, and electric charging facility cost 50p/Kwt, which you would find at services on a motorway as a comparable rate.

Great location, staff and value
Liked: Free parkingCentral location Lovely staff - one lent me a phone charger as mine broke! Great value
Disliked: The shower made a crazy loud noise which I reported the next day as I felt it was too late but apparently there is a night porter.

Mouldy and horrible batnroom
Liked: We paid £88 for one night and it was absolutely not worth this. Parking including was good
Disliked: The room windows didn’t stay open so it was like an oven. Room itself was borderline okay but the bathroom in the bedroom was appalling, incredibly mouldy all over and the shower/bath was so gross we felt unable to use it.

Ok but over priced…
Liked: The staff where very friendly and polite and the bar restaurant and garden where the best part about the hotel.
Disliked: Now the part I didn’t like about the hotel. Firstly there’s no lifts within the property understandable considering it’s a grade II property but definitely not suitable for elderly or disabled. The stairs to our room where up 2 flights of stairs which where rather confusing considering we to had to deal with 2 fire doors for each flight while carrying luggage which where lacking clear directions. Secondly on arriving at our room the junior suite 221 the first thing we noted that the room stank of musk as if it hadn’t been used for a while and the room was very hot ( A fan was never offered) black marks on the walls, skirting boards that could of been cleaned, dust on the top arches that clearly never seen the day of light, like of plugs by the bed, light bulbs that need changing, lack of good lighting within the room, switches without purpose and a broken radiator cover.?Then we come to the bathroom, the shower is missing a knob and the water goes intermittent hot and cold and the tiles have mould on them. All these things can be dealt with basic cleaning and maintenance which is clearly lacking. Another thing was the cleaners just letting themselves in to the room without being asked. For the price I was charged for my stay I certainly think it over priced. Breakfast was ok but seriously lacking unless it was a full English breakfast. If you left it late the bacon was tough and nearly all the eggs were over done. The chef should seriously go back to chef school and learn to fry an egg.
