Disliked: No meal was offered after 6pm, as there wasn’t a chef available.

Disgusting
Disliked: Hotel was absolutely filthy. Hundreds of dead flies covering the ceiling / floors / walls/ windowsills.Staff member checking in extremely rude. Tried making conversation with him, he completely ignored me. Kept huffing and puffing like we were a hindrance to him.

Fantastic riverside views, walkable to...
Liked: We had a room on top floor with balcony. Views are stunning, overlooking the river with the railway station opposite that the steam trains stop at. Was about a twenty minute walk to the Pavillion where we were watching a band. Very pleasant walk along the canal to the venue.
Disliked: Walking back from the venue was very dark, I used my phone but I’d advise a torch. Breakfast was continental, I prefer to have the option of a cooked one myself. Hotel itself is fine.

Lovely people working here, hotel...
Liked: All of The people who work here are lovely and very friendly and helpful. Free parking was also good. The bathroom was very clean. Continental breakfast was good. The view of the river was nice.
Disliked: We were in room 14 and The walls between rooms are very thin and we could hear everything through them, so it was the early hours of the morning before we could get to sleep and then there were constant noise interruptions. There was some kind of alarm noise going off every 30 mins up to about 1am. The noisy bathroom fan stayed on for about 30 mins and we could hear the next rooms fan through the thin wall too. You can't check in until 3pm on the dot causing queues. Rooms don't have any way to cool them other than opening windows which a sign on the windows tells you not to with lights on due to flies coming in from the canal.
