The Spotlight on The Cavendish London

Elegant Comfort in the Heart of Piccadilly

Modern luxury meets classic British charm at The Cavendish London, a stylish hotel nestled in the heart of Piccadilly. Just a 10-minute stroll from Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace, this upscale spot puts you in the center of London’s cultural and live music scene. With designer bathrooms, plush furnishings, and an award-winning restaurant, it’s a high-end base with a relaxed vibe.

Why Concert-goers love it

Located just a few minutes' walk from Piccadilly Tube Station, The Cavendish offers easy late-night transport to and from London’s top concert venues. After the show, unwind in the quiet, soundproofed rooms or sip a nightcap in the stylish Lounge. The flexible 12:00 PM check-out is perfect for sleeping in post-gig, and the central location means you can walk to many venues or hop on the Underground with ease.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish, central base
  • Solo travelers chasing that once-in-a-lifetime gig
  • Couples turning a concert night into a weekend getaway
  • Fans who want a calm, quiet space to recharge
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who value location and quality

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Mayfair Lounge and Grill offers both modern and traditional British dishes, perfect for a pre-show dinner or post-concert indulgence. The Lobby Bar and Lounge serve drinks and light bites with table service until late, and the hotel’s afternoon tea is a must for daytime explorers. While 24/7 room service isn’t available, the dining options are high-end and conveniently onsite.

Nightlife Options

You’re steps away from London’s legendary nightlife, with bars, lounges, and live music spots just around the corner. While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, its chic bar is a great place to start your night, featuring a fine wine list and expertly mixed cocktails. Soho’s buzzing late-night scene is just a short walk away.

What People Say

Guests rave about the excellent location, calling it “perfect for sightseeing and shows.” Reviews highlight the stylish rooms, friendly staff, and superb cleanliness. Travelers also appreciate the comfortable beds and the hotel’s quiet atmosphere despite being in the heart of the city.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the room sizes can be a bit compact, especially for those traveling with lots of gear. While luxurious, the hotel doesn’t offer 24-hour room service, which could be a drawback if you're returning late and craving a midnight snack.

The Bottom Line

The Cavendish London is a stylish, central, and comfortable home base for concert-goers who want to stay close to the action—without sacrificing peace, quality, or a good night’s sleep.

Good location, staff not very...

Liked: Location is great and the whole area is very well communicated via Underground.
Disliked: Hotel retains money for "incidentals" that I have to monitor the reimbursement. Annoying.

Very good stay

Liked: Everything was great. The staff were so lovely and couldn’t do enough to help. The room was nice but the shower in the bath meant that the bathroom itself got very wet due to shower screen not fitting properly. Leading to me drying the floor. Beds were so comfy . Would stay again when in London. AC was excellent.

Good location for the West...

Liked: The location was good, and the staff were friendly and approachable. Good facilities in the room, and more available upon request (although we didn't request these). The bedroom and bathroom were clean. Food was available to be served to the room, but we didn't use this service so I can't comment on the quality.
Disliked: I paid £36 for "welcome amenities" which weren't in the room when we arrived. When it was sent up, it was just one bottle of prosecco which was disappointing. I actually sent it back and requested a refund.

Very good

Liked: The Cavendish is a good hotel in an excellent location. Two things that could be improved is the air conditioning, which is not always consistently working well in different bedrooms. The breakfast variety is a bit limited - no granola, bread is not very fresh, limited cheese and meat selection and small choice of fresh fruit
