Decent hotel but don’t be...

Liked: Great location as it’s close to the tube and various restaurants, bars and Hyde Park etc
Disliked: Booking.com don’t highlight that sone rooms here have NO windows and natural light.. room was fine but ridiculously didn’t have any windows.. if Booking had clearly highlighted this, I’d obviously never have booked it.. and now they’re refusing to refund me, telling me I should be more careful next time when choosing my room selection.. as I said, if they had said ‘no window’, I’d not have booked it… rubbish!

Disliked: We left a night early because of the noise in the bedroom. It had no windows but we expected good ventilation given the summer heat( more than 27 celsius). The air con unit buzzed loudly every five minutes so it was impossible to sleep. We were in the basement and there was a rush of waste water from rooms above in a drainage pipe next to the wall where the bedhead was through the night. The hotel didnt refund us for the night we didnt stay. It cost us over £400 and we had a dreadful experience.

Liked: Lovely small hotel in a convenient location close to Paddington station with pubs and restaurants directly opposite. I had a single room which was of a decent size for one personwith a large comfy bed and it was so quiet, although i didn't have a window in the room so had to rely on the air con, but was still fine. My parents had a deluxe double room which was of a good size for a London hotel. Everywhere was clean and the staff were really friendly and polite - a good find.

Liked: Very convenient to Paddington train station. Staff was wonderful. Room was very comfortable.
Disliked: A little more space in my room, but this is London!
