Liked: Location was perfect for my onward journey. Staff were so nice, could not of been more helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Problem with heating in the room - it did get sorted. No evening meal option on site (Monday night stay) may be on other nights! Lovely restaurant opposite but stopped serving food at 9.

Liked: Very friendly staff, great location, good breakfast, good security,best place to stay in Neath.
Disliked: Bit expensive for solo traveller.

Liked: My second stay, room was what we expected and staff were very good.

Stayed before and was better...

Liked: Superb location. Revamped Hotel smart but not lost all of its character. Room and bathroom spotless but on the small side. Comfy bed and choice of pillow. Shops and pubs etc virtually on the doorstep. 5 minutes walk from railway station.
Disliked: Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom, even the hotel supplied shampoo etc was on a ledge just above floor level, no shelf above the sink either. Limited plugs - to use tv needed to unplug the kettle! Stayed 2 nights and breakfast exactly the same both mornings, glad I didn't stay for a week! No food available in the evening in the bar and restaurant closed. Small windows with wooden slatted blinds and also with curtains with pelmet making it dark.

Unexpected Perfection in Neath

Liked: I loved staying at The Castle Hotel and had one of the best night's sleep I had enjoyed in ages. Although the purpose of my trip was work, The Castle Hotel offered a comfortable and relaxing haven where I was able to unwind. The staff were SO helpful and pleasant and just couldn't do enough to ensure that my stay was perfect. The room was spotlessly clean and offered plenty of light. This is a hidden gem in Neath and well worth finding.
Disliked: I would have liked the hotel restaurant to offer dinner.
