Whether you're heading to a large arena or a smaller venue, most spots are walkable or just a short ride away. The suites are spacious and quiet, making them ideal for winding down after a high-energy show. With a 3:00 PM check-in and a generous 12:00 PM check-out, there’s flexibility for those arriving late or recovering the morning after. The peaceful river views also offer a relaxing backdrop for post-show vibes.

The on-site Presidents Dining Room serves up convenient meals for guests who want to eat in. While 24/7 room service isn’t available, the in-room microwave and fridge let you store and heat up snacks after a late night. With downtown Columbus just outside your door, you’re walking distance to a wide range of restaurants, diners, and grab-and-go spots. What People Say

Guests highlight the spaciousness of the suites, ideal for spreading out or sharing with friends. Many love the central location and the convenience of being able to walk to events and attractions. The warm welcome with cookies is a small but appreciated touch. Reviews also mention the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff as consistent strong points.

Areas for Improvement

While the hotel is quiet and spacious, some guests mention that its decor feels a bit dated in places. Also, there’s no on-site bar or live music, so if you're looking to keep the party going post-show, you’ll need to head out.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Louise, Br, visiting KEMBA Live! Columbus Mon, 21 August 2023

Walls were molded and smelly in the bathroom; no USB ports; towels were smelly; room was hot and control panel not operational; very overpriced for a very old outdated hotel.

Liked: Lady at checkout was superb. Sunday morning 8-20-23. Suggested a local diner for us that was great.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Kristina, Hamilton Tue, 20 September 2022

House keeping brought covers that were covered in feathers. Front desk had to check if there were any rooms available even after booking the room 1 month in advance. No trash can. The air conditioning vent was right over to the bed. Froze all night and sweated after turning the air off. Didn't sleep due to the elevator being right next to our room. Floors were dirty and ceiling had pure water damage. Paid over $300 for one night and would not recommend.

Liked: The bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Literally everything else!

Re-thinking if I want to book again with Hilton.

Liked: The front reception on saturday morning.
Disliked: Carpet was damp; hair was in the drain in the shower that overflowed.

Overall had a good stay. Had trouble finding parking garage - wish I hadn't.

Liked: Room was great! Great view; spacious room; staff very nice.
Disliked: Parking garage not for bigger trucks - I started to go up to 4th level and scraped the top of the truck.

Thomas R, Chardon, OH, visiting Palace Theatre Columbus Tue, 23 April 2013

Very nice room with a great view. Central to the Palace Theater and museums.

Liked: The staff came in and tried to deodorize as best they could.
Disliked: The room had been smoked in and there wasn't another room available. The cleaning staff should attend to this type of problem before the next occupants arrive.

We stayed in a river suite and it was a beautiful view of the river. It was a very nice room with everything you needed for your stay. I would recommend this place to anybody and will definitely come back to stay.

Very Good - 4.0 out of 5

Ray C, Lima, Ohio Mon, 30 July 2012

We stayed at the Doubletree Downtown for its proximity (within walking) to the Lifestyles Pavilion. Although we ended up driving and parking at the pavilion we enjoyed our stay. The suite was very nice and there is much to do in Columbus.

Liked: Beautiful room and view, and the staff comped my wireless connection.
Disliked: As with all big city, downtown hotels the parking was expensive. Also, we had to change elevators from the hotel to the parking garage.
